What honestly makes him so terrifying is the fact that he acts so cute while planning sadistic manipulative acts and trying to murder people. He doesn’t think what he’s doing is wrong at all, its all a game to him
Exactly. I think that's what makes his character so brilliant for me - he has no intentions of harming anyone per se, it's just that his actions inevitably bring harm to people; he's basically so disconnected from the ability to empathize with others that he neither knows nor cares how others are affected by his actions.
@@hanakokun8641 Though similar to sociopaths, I would say that Tsukasa exhibits more of a psychopathic behavior - they're both very similar though, falling under antisocial personality disorder. But like psychopathic behavior, Tsukasa is very manipulative towards others; he plays with their emotion. I've only watched the anime and haven't really gone into the manga so I don't know too much in terms of the story, but for what I can see in the anime, it seems like Tsukasa finds pleasure and satisfaction in tormenting Hanako - I believe manipulative abuse towards loved ones/objects of interest is also a sign of psychopathic behavior. Tsukasa is also very calculating with his motives as well - that being said he's also very impulsive, at times doing complete 180s in terms of emotion (also signs of psychopathic personality). Overall, he's just really kinda twisted and so detached that he just does't feel empathy. What also makes him so incredibly terrifying is that although he may not FEEL the emotions of others, he can perfectly UNDERSTAND them, hence why he's so able to crumble Hanako in the inside whenever he speaks to him. Being able to understand empathy yet not feel it gives one total freedom to do whatever they want; they feel no remorse, yet have the conscience and intelligence to understand every weakness others around them may have. Given the power, and if they have a certain desire, those around them become their toys and puppets, used remorselessly to obtain whatever it is they desire. In conclusion I would have to say that Tsukasa is a clear psychopath, and a very well written and established character.

@@weiwuxian3226 I've always been interested in human psychology - the way the human brain works, the human conscience and our individual personalities, the way we communicate with each other, mental illness and the effects of narcotics/drugs/substances on the brain, and the pros and cons of prescription drugs for certain mental illnesses; there's so much to human psychology. What also fascinates me about human psychology is how indefinite it can be; it's funny - our emotions/personalities are perhaps the only thing that we so far know of in this physical universe that cannot be resolved or calculated using numbers. Of course, we barely know anything on the grand scale, and there's about who knows how many phenomenons out there that we have no idea how they work or what they are, but the idea is that perhaps in the future we may have a better understanding of them using such calculations or formulas. But with human emotion, it's different; there really is no way to calculate such a thing with numbers. I was actually thinking about majoring in psychology through college, but I've always loved fiction, lol. So I decided to go for character design instead, LOL! XD Even then, it's kinda similar in a sense; basing fictional characters off real life psychology and designing them off real life examples can really further a story and make it and the characters within so much more relatable and fluid.

i really have this love-hate relationship with tsukasa. on his side of the coin he is sadistic, psychotic, scary, manipulative and dangerous but on the other side, he can be so cute and funny without even trying. he is honestly a very complex character that i want to know more. especially that in the manga, i am dying to know more about the yugi twins' past and how they became who they are now.
