Have you thought about just taking the other two branches. I think the space would look fine without the allualdia and you could cover the stump with some other succulents. That way you have a couple to work with in case something should happen to one. What a scary time but also so much excitement and adventure. Thank you for taking us along with you and can’t wait to see what you create. Love you and your team!
I've been watching religiously for years but I really hope these moving videos are gaining more views because it's so interesting to watch and see things unfold. Thank you for taking us along with you on this journey.
You know, I have a beloved coffee tree, I've had it for years. When I moved from Philly to Houston several years ago during the winter. I legit rented an SUV and drove nearly 22 hours straight so that I could transport the plant. We do wild things for the plants we love!
Thank you for your updates. Your plant dilemma would absolutely be mine moving. I hope the people that buy the house appreciate all of your hard work. I know you leave it perfectly groomed. Can’t wait to see the transformation. Remember to breathe
“I almost died” 😭🤣🤣 btw I love that you’re taking most of the things you love with you! It’s so important to do that, I’ve been so sad and regretted so much not taking all the plants with me when I moved hahahha (but I couldn’t, so I really understand your position)
People always tell me, "you're stronger than you think, or, you're one of the strongest women I know, but I never want to hear that, because I don't feel that way. But now, watching you the past few weeks and all you have to endure with the move, I really see what people see in me, because it is what I see in you, Laura. Whether you feel it or not...You are stronger than you think, and you are one of the strongest women I know. I love watching your new adventures and wish you and Greg a million years of health, happiness and gardening in that beautiful Vista!!!!!!
Maybe ask your Vet if there something you can give Bentley to help with his move to he’s new home. Love your channel and so enjoy following your journey . Maybe gently bubble wrap your tallest plants. Just a thought.🙂❤️❤️❤️
I developed a love for succulents during COVID. Accidentally I bumped into your channel several months ago and what a pleasure to follow you! Your love for the garden and the plants is wonderful to experience and sense. I live in an apartment in Chicago so my garden is indoors at the moment but in every video I learn something. Thank you.
Quick reflexes!! My heart did jump when i saw it coming down! Its so cute the way Bentley just ensures his mom n dad are in sight always. Loads of work moving everything and all d very best for moving the babies.
Thank you for taking us a long on your journey of moving.. I am really interested to see the move.. but if possible, could you also show us the old place once you have taken everything you are keeping and tidied it for the next people? Thanks so much & best of luck with everything... ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Many years ago I worked in the forest helping my husband taking down large trees. I knew exactly what was going to happen when your Alluadia got cut through. I was holding my breath while watching you do that but since you didn’t get hurt I got a good laugh, too!! Sorry the top broke off. Wish you could take the red raised bed to Vista. I love it!
ohhh, whew, i thought you were a goner there for a minute... can you root that little top piece? it's a rollercoaster ride between concern, planning, bittersweet, and excitement with moving things, leaving things, getting new starts with plants.. wow.. so many projects, so many videos for us!!! you literally have (plant) material for so many videos now, lol... not to mention your "regular job", lol... oh my... sweet Bentley, i hope he doesn't stress too much...i can't believe moving day is here already, wow! that went by fast! wishing you all good things in your new place and the best of luck as you move your plants... thanks for taking us along!! 🥰🥰🥰
Dear Laura, wishing you, Greg, Hannah & team well in your move. We moved 358 miles from our Mira Mesa home, to our beautiful retirement home in Peoria Arizona. My Odyssey minivan made 2 full trips with my big fully planted Costco pots of succulents. The shock and the heat here took their toll. It's OK, we tried. Wishing you so much luck with your move. And look forward to your creating your new yard.
Laura my heart ❤️ breaks down knowing your leaving some plants 😢 what if the next person throw away everything. Please take them all with you please please ❤️❤️🥹
I just found your channel an hour ago and I'm in love! I have absolutely no idea how I haven't come across your channel until just now. You have such a beautiful succulent garden, can't wait to see what you come up with in the new house! Love love LOVE your videos!
I was practically in tears as you walked around your garden. You are so brave to be upbeat. All the best wishes for your move and new garden. ❤ from zone 5 in NH.
It is always one of the most stressful things to do-move House. I have done it couple of times, 8 months ago I move to a 12thousand square meters plot of land. The movers did two truck loads. One for my furniture and one for my plants!
Be careful, Laura! We need u at the next grand reveal! Lol but im glad i saw you do this - very educational and insight into your process. U teach me to be a little more patient too. 💜💜thank u!
Poor Bentley, he knows something is not right but am sure once your furniture is in place he will settle. So glad that branch missed you, Laura. Thinking of you moving. It is not an easy task. Love from Oz
What wont fit in the new back yard, remember your new house has a nice size front yard where you could put some of these larger plants that are too large for backyard. Just a thought....
Can't you just attach the piece that came off with rubber bands like they do with grafting? I'm pretty sure that will solve the problem. I hope you didn't toss the piece away. If it already started to callous over just cut them again and graft them together. You might want to watch some TH-cam videos first or have a grafting expert do it for you.
This reminds me of the time my husband and I tried to take down a tall skinny pine tree in south Georgia. Luckily no one was injured but we did have to rebuild a section of the fence. Tim-ber!!!
If you look at the small, green and round allaudia leaves, compared to portulacaria afra leaves, you may notice a similarity - bc allaudia is a portulacaria 👍🏽😂I figured since P. afra is nicknamed "elephant food," and is eaten by humans and other animals, we should have allaudia be nicknamed "Lemur lunch" or "lemur ladder" 🙃🤤 Its amazing how they climb all up and down them. Mainly the "walking" sifaka lemurs. Somehow their little hands know exactly how to fit between the thorns. Geckos and chameleons hide out on them as well, to escape eagles, snakes and poachers.
😱 okay, that was a close one! I know I’m just emotionally reacting here, but may I nag about maybe digging up the entire plant and taking it with you? I don’t think anyone will love and care for that gem the way you do. 💚 I’m also hoping you’ll have lots of help with the heavy lifting. While it’s a little nerve-wracking to watch this garden getting disassembled, I can already see the wheels turning in your head about how it’s all going to be reassembled. Bittersweet, definitely. 🎭
You could put a flat metal bar around the wooden planter to hold it together and it would look like a Versailles planter! Please show us how you dig up or cut plants to move them...
I agree that you should take more. I was also hoping you won’t leave your Queen Victoria Agave and I was wondering if you still have your black kitty cat. I hope so. I know if you have him he will go too. Best of luck to you with your big move!
I think she didn't want it to branch anywhere but at the bottom. She wanted just one tall branch and for it to branch only at the bottom. If she cuts it in half it will still branch from where you cut it.
Maybe long narrow pieces of styŕofoam or long corner pieces of stiff cardboard (the kind you find in large appliance packaging) or salvaged/recycled 10 ft. length PVC pipe (3 1/2 or 4 inch diameter) cut in half lengthwiise can be used like a splint along with shrinkwrap/rope/string/cable ties to support your 12 ft. long plants?
Oh I thought for sure it was going to get you. Oh I couldn't help but laugh when you you said shit I newvthat was going to happen. I almost died. Oh I laughed and laughed. I did enjoy this video and what your taking to your new home
Jesus! That was a close one.So that plant will grow as a cutting ?That is ..a huge cutting.I know it’s overwhelming to take all the plants ,but I hope you do take the big ones on the side of the yard.😩
Of course it snapped...it looks like it cracked too where it hit the bench..have two men support it and cut another piece. It a heavy and solid if ya let I'd just fall it's gonna have damage. You worked so hard on maintenance with that beauty.....I hate to see ya do that.

Laura barely escaping a beheading was the horror movie I didn't know I needed today... Well, at least you're still in one piece, girl!
You know, I have a beloved coffee tree, I've had it for years. When I moved from Philly to Houston several years ago during the winter. I legit rented an SUV and drove nearly 22 hours straight so that I could transport the plant.
We do wild things for the plants we love!
Love how Greg kept recording as it fell! 🤣. He had faith!
Thank you for your updates. Your plant dilemma would absolutely be mine moving. I hope the people that buy the house appreciate all of your hard work. I know you leave it perfectly groomed. Can’t wait to see the transformation. Remember to breathe
You are a good sport, Laura! Going with the flow is the way to go!
You are so brave to disassemble your yard, you motivate me to be brave!
Love all of your creative knowledge and your love of plants 🌵🪴🎄☮️🍀
“I almost died” 😭🤣🤣 btw I love that you’re taking most of the things you love with you! It’s so important to do that, I’ve been so sad and regretted so much not taking all the plants with me when I moved hahahha (but I couldn’t, so I really understand your position)
I totally support your decision on taking most of the plants. My god if I ever moved id take like 95% of my plants 😵💫😵💫
People always tell me, "you're stronger than you think, or, you're one of the strongest women I know, but I never want to hear that, because I don't feel that way. Wow you are so good at removing the succulents to your new home lots of work. I love how you are so cheerful about the move. Good luck this week. 👍
So much work, but you have such a great attitude and help mates.
I had a bougainvillea that rooted into the ground through a pot hole and I pulled it out and it stayed fabulous. I’m hoping you have the same luck!
Cut another branch to take. This time connect at 3 points vs only 1 point. Also have someone, very lightly, support it. Good luck.
Laura my heart ❤️ breaks down knowing your leaving some plants 😢 what if the next person throw away everything. Please take them all with you please please ❤️❤️🥹

Welcome to the channel😊
I was practically in tears as you walked around your garden. You are so brave to be upbeat. All the best wishes for your move and new garden. ❤ from zone 5 in NH.
As others, I say you cut the other two branches and take with you! Can't wait to see your magic in your new home!
So exciting! Best of luck on the move!
It is always one of the most stressful things to do-move House. I have done it couple of times, 8 months ago I move to a 12thousand square meters plot of land. The movers did two truck loads. One for my furniture and one for my plants!
You’re so lucky! My movers refused to transport any of my plants. Took me days to go back and forth in my car!
Be careful, Laura! We need u at the next grand reveal! Lol but im glad i saw you do this - very educational and insight into your process. U teach me to be a little more patient too. 💜💜thank u!
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing succulents lovely collection beautiful garden
😂🤣😂🤣😂 You made my day with that title! Super hilarious. I'm glad you dodged it though.
Poor Bentley, he knows something is not right but am sure once your furniture is in place he will settle. So glad that branch missed you, Laura. Thinking of you moving. It is not an easy task. Love from Oz
I would have to take all three, but then again, I would have a hard time leaving anything behind. Best of luck with your move.
best of luck. bitter sweet but life must move on to the next garden excited to see that transformation 🙌🏼
p.s. lift with yalls legs!!! 💪🏼
janiannni is in awe of what you can do this is fun watching
What wont fit in the new back yard, remember your new house has a nice size front yard where you could put some of these larger plants that are too large for backyard. Just a thought....
I agree. Take the big blue glows. You are frequently generous gifting clients with plants from your collection.
Just quick enough! Yikes.
Curious to see how this tall one will be planted. What stays what goes is hard😭
I think you should have cut another Allualdia Procera to get the perfect one. There would still be 1 left
Can't you just attach the piece that came off with rubber bands like they do with grafting? I'm pretty sure that will solve the problem. I hope you didn't toss the piece away. Yes she could graft
Yes i am thinking the same but its not easy with such a big plant.
No tears on old succulents! You will have new babies in your near future!! 🌵🌵🌵
This reminds me of the time my husband and I tried to take down a tall skinny pine tree in south Georgia. Luckily no one was injured but we did have to rebuild a section of the fence. Tim-ber!!!

Laura, keep the agave sun glow for the front yard when ready. It’s a keeper.

Cracking up u nearly died 🤣 I nearly died from laughing 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣
Pleeease, take the rest of your allualdia with you. The new owners might not even like succulents and demolish the backyard 😱😱😱
Gosh, your plants are so beautiful.
I laughed so hard! My husband is always cutting trees like this...
Laura, is it possible to bandage the top what broke off on top again?
It might knit together?
Cut it off at the stump - it’s yours, take the lot with you and the new owner can deal with the new branching at the stump cut.
Good luck over the next few days with the movers!
One of my dogs hates the car too, I give him some dramamine and it really helps so he's not so stressed. Our vet recommended it
3:23 since it’s 12 feet, could you cut it in half and just do two 6 feet tall plants? And branch at 6 feet?
I think she didn't want it to branch anywhere but at the bottom. She wanted just one tall branch and for it to branch only at the bottom. If she cuts it in half it will still branch from where you cut it.
Ouch! That was tough to watch. I wonder if the tiny broken top will grow it's own root system & continue to grow from the top, instead of the bottom?
So exciting! 🤗
Get a bunch of bubble wrap to wrap around your tall blue cactus.hopefully it won’t break that way
what if you take the tip of the plant and try and root it?
Can’t you take the baby top that split off and plant it too?
Sorry Bentley is stressed about the move, I haven’t seen your kitties in a while, do you and Greg still have your succulent cats?🙂
Awww Bentley! I was wondering how you deal with Mr. Bentleys bathroom area? Any suggestions for a dog friendly yard?
Lol "oh shit" lmaf great job 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe long narrow pieces of styŕofoam or long corner pieces of stiff cardboard (the kind you find in large appliance packaging) or salvaged/recycled 10 ft. length PVC pipe (3 1/2 or 4 inch diameter) cut in half lengthwiise can be used like a splint along with shrinkwrap/rope/string/cable ties to support your 12 ft. long plants?
The leaf curling of the Lemon tree is citrus leaf miner.
Pachypodium Gaeyi is more sensitive to transplant than Pachypodium Lamerei, you might consider a mix heavy on pumice.
Just cut another piece and take it with you. It's YIURS so dont be shy about taking it ALL. LOL! You won't want it branching.
Did you also remove the awning/patio structure on the side?
🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh gosh Laura, you're so funny
Cut another one but have Greg catch it! There’s plenty to go around!
👏cut👏another👏piece👏
👏cut👏another👏piece👏
👏cut👏another👏piece👏
👌beautiful
Sun glow could go in your front yard?
Dig up the whole thing and have your baby back. You knew it was going to fall; you are wise.
No harm, no foul.
Oh I thought for sure it was going to get you. Oh I couldn't help but laugh when you you said shit I newvthat was going to happen. I almost died. Oh I laughed and laughed. I did enjoy this video and what your taking to your new home
😝 boy that was a close call, glad your still in one piece.
Jesus! That was a close one.So that plant will grow as a cutting ?That is ..a huge cutting.I know it’s overwhelming to take all the plants ,but I hope you do take the big ones on the side of the yard.😩
Can't you plant the top part of you tall plant and get a little puppy out of it?
What kind of saw is that? Can we have info?
Such Clever ideas...
What will happen to your Agave Victoria Regenes?
Coming with me!
Could you have grafted the top piece back on?
Plant that little piece?
Sure! Why not😊
Maybe your big, tall, fragile cactus could be protected in a sturdy carpet "tube"?
Couldn't you also plant the tip that broke off? I think it would grow again.
She almost died. 😂😂😂
Please take your roses with you.I love them. The all be fine. you just need to pull a small root ball and prune the top .
Glue it back on, experiment, like you stated but don’t wait too long you should do it now.
I would been digging 😂
You are fun!!!! Your plant will survive
Lol! 😆😆 make it make sense
Wow that was scaring😳
sad to move and have to leave your beautiful 🪴 garden
💚💚💚
There was one casualty tho, I sow that yellow pot broke
How exciting! 💚💚💚🤗
Take the top of the plant that broke off and see what it does
I said the same thing! Would be cool to see what happens.
Can't she just graft them together?
@@nicogs97 She could. I just think starting a new plant is a cooler idea. Let's see what she chooses to do, if anything.
Of course it snapped...it looks like it cracked too where it hit the bench..have two men support it and cut another piece. It a heavy and solid if ya let I'd just fall it's gonna have damage. You worked so hard on maintenance with that beauty.....I hate to see ya do that.
