Dude I love using Matt huges was playing against a Gilbert and intentionally dumped my stamina in a sub and then let him transition into backside he goes for that heel hook while we’re both gassed and I pop that arm triangle sub counter it felt great getting a one shot sub

So glad that someone else apart from myself that knows what they’re talking about when it comes to MMA, actually said that Islam didn’t completely dominant Charles from start to finish, round 1 was fairy competitive both fighters had their moments on the feet and the ground. Charles landed a very good upkick near the end of the round and I will say his only mistake was when he got double unders on Islam he pulled guard too easily at the start of the fight as opposed to making Islam fight for the takedown more, but Charles was throwing triangles straight away. Islam done a very good job of keeping his hips square but there’s not much damage you can do when you’re both chest to chest and Charles done a good job of controlling Islams posture and he had an overhook which prevented Islam from landing more ground and pound. Charles almost entered deep half then went for Islams back but islam was wise to it and they stood up against the cage into the Muay Thai clinch where Charles was tripped into side control but immediately scrambled back to guard. Round 2 was where it all went to shit for Charles he threw an extremely telegraphed flying knee and Islam countered with a right hook, dropped him and immediately took half guard which takes away Charles’s attempts at triangles, gullotines etc. very dazed islam squeezed in the head and arm choke and that was it. Islams a very defensively sound fighter whereas Charles can be a bit reckless, it’s worked in the past but not against Islam. If he gets the win against Arman which I believe he will then I think the rematch will be different between Charles and Islam.
