The manual will of course consume more than the automatic one. I averaged 8.7L/100km in town, and 7.9L/100km on the highway. That is simply because in town you stop more frequently, robots and traffic as well. The automatic variant uses more fuel as compared to the manual, however, it would still depend on how it drives.
The handling of the car is perfect, and deals with road imperfections very well. The kia rio is comfortable and provides a ride of good quality.
I highly encourage that before buying a car, go test drive it and feel the ride quality and see how the car responds in various situations.

Cvt box? I beg tto differ. Also the Rio is aimed to rival the polo and fiesta, not starlet and baleno.

Thanks a lot. You very right. The comparison was on the power figures and gear ratio. Starlet has more power than the Rio but the engine is loud due to the 5 speed or 4 speed transmission. Looking forward to more engagements🤗

The Rio uses a 6 speed automatic not a cvt, they went from 4 speed auto to 6 speed.

1.4 uses 6 speed automatic. 1.6 sold in other countries including the US has a CVT

It is a nice car indeed but eish! The price is high as well, I really don't think a lot of people would choose it over a polo lifer dsg honestly, myself inclined. Polo wins on design, power and performance and consumption. Also, after years of ownership, a polo would be a worth than a kia in the used car market.

That's True, It wins over the Polo Vivo. It is a good car, the pricing is a problem. Polo holds good value than the Kia Rio, only makes sense for someone who wants to keep it.

I have a 22 1.4 KIA Stonic (small SUV) 6 speed auto in the Philippines. 10 per 100km, but thats stop/go and mountain driving. Do you have any info on how that engine and trans are holding up over time ? I read that engine is only good for about 100 km. Any there with higher mileage that you know of ?
