If you saw footage it's like maybe 30 people standing in front of a small tv where they signed the wall, it was just small little live shorts, not like what Jurard, Roberu, and gamma was in with a full seated crowd. They wouldn't be too bothered by it.

Honest guess is like what Axel said: the fun of it got lost in translation. Where all the EN speaking fans would have probably been laughing their asses off and threatening them back, the JP speaking fans were probably like ❓❓❓. Especially if they've never watched Axel, Bettel, or Ruze and aren't used to their humor.

Yeah the thing is some jokes get lost in translation, English to Japanese and vice versa.
I remember once sending a joke to my friend in Japan, she shared it with a Japanese guy she's dating and he never understood, so he only said it's "omoshiroi" (T - T)

How do you even translate that kind of humor into Japanese?
Take Sloppenheimer as another example. Where would you even start with that?
Yeah, Context is super important when it comes to certain jokes. American humor often gets lost to JP fans unless it’s fully explained, and it’s the same with Japanese humor to EN fans also.
In Bettel and Axel’s case, ARMIS debuted not too long ago, so a majority of the fans there probably wanted to support the newer guys since they just saw them for the first time. Recency bias definitely plays a factor sometimes.
It's quite funny. But at the same time, i feel like it is good to make JP fans know more about EN and their humor- XD

I think the background is the Osaka canal! I went to Japan in august of 2023 and that was one of the first places we visited
