The bad thing about dream pop bands is that it's almost impossible to achieve the same atmosphere on live shows compared to the studio track. It happens with other music genres too but with dream pop and lo-fi bands it's very noticeable. Still, this is amazing to hear.
Absolutely agree, I just wanted to write something similar. Perhaps if sound guys could spice up the mix during live performances? Add more reverb and delay on the mic? Yeah, it could sound a bit mushy and unclear at times, but I'd rather listen to vocals with lots of effects that would have a huge impact on the atmosphere (especially while stoned), than hear this kind of superclean sound intended for regular pop.
This band has a great sound and style!. Lead vocals needed more "punch" but I think that these are things that improve over time as is the case with most bands.
