Dont understand why you dont have more subbs. The teaching is good, especially the close up view. Some of us our eyes arent so good no more and the close ups sure help to see what is goin on. Do you have any vids with the epoxy on the dragon scales? Also thank you for ur service to our country
richard murray - thanks again for the great comments. I do not have any videos with the epoxy on the dragon scale on TH-cam, but I do have pictures of it in my IG and FB pages - links are in the header of my channel. Hope this helps.
Nice work do to your help and skill I accomplished two fishing rods already I appreciate your knowledge my class friends are saying if I'm going to sell them of course not they're going into my beginning Museum
Thanks for explaining so well I think now I'll give it a try is that a certain size or brand fiber tape it looked complicated but you made it look easy
Thanks for asking Boyce. No, there is no specific size of tape. Be creative...Just remember that the bigger the squares in the tape, the bigger the scales will look once you put the thread over it. Hope this helps.
Good morning. In your experience would you say that the best thread to make the dragon scale will be A or D? On the underwrapping i use A thread but on the dragon scale I'm not sure... Thanks for your videos.
I noticed you have your string on the wrapper routed wrong. from spool go to eye in front of spool to tension rod to center base eye to slider eye to rod. You should be able to run both colors at same time to tension rod thru center eye to slider to rod. That will save you a lot of work and time
Jeff, thanks for reaching out. Actually, the thread is run through the wrapper exactly as you described - the correct way. The video is shot from the back side which makes it look that way. As for using two threads, I chose to use one in the spool and the other cut from the spool since I was doing such a short distance. Thanks again for commenting.
Looks great dude. I think I will try something like this on a rod for my wife.
@@ronfrederick9983 Thank you and glad to hear you are going to try it. Please feel free to let me know how it turns out.
Thank you for the clear tutorial. I'm now motivated to start one!
Awesome and glad I could be of help. Let me know how it turns out, and thank you for watching and commenting.

That is so beautiful, do you use two colors on the red rap. I love that one.
@@josephruggles6505 - I believe I used three colors for a red one, and I’m glad you enjoy the video Joseph. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Awesome video thanks
Very welcome and thank you for watching.
Can you use this to finish the end of a diamond wrap or no?
Keith, great question, and yes, you can use it however you like. Be creative.
What size metallic thread are you using ?
Thank you for asking Big Mac. In this video I am using Size A Metallic Thread.
Good morning.
In your experience would you say that the best thread to make the dragon scale will be A or D?
On the underwrapping i use A thread but on the dragon scale I'm not sure... Thanks for your videos.
Hank you for watching and commenting. Honestly, it just comes down to personal preference. Both size A and D work just fine.
What kind of base are you using?
Wrapping/wrapper Base? If so, it is a CRB.
