insurance is a big scam. I've seen the Same thing happen with 3 of my coworkers 1 came back in debt, 1 sued and won 3 years later and the other just started the process of a lawsuit. the big guys don't care about the people under them just the padding in their pockets.
It is sad today the only way to punish or get consequence against another is to sue them. I was raised that if you sue someone then you are really weak. You are not strong and you are a cheap type of person to sue another. But these days the only way to make someone know they did wrong is to sue them. Or in this matter at least get what you have paid for through your insurance carrier!!! The lady says "Do the right thing." Agreed. But we know what is right / fair and just just isn't so today. Keep your paperwork and fight to the end. Make them pay! My father had the same issue with his company. Only way he got what he was entitled to? Sued the company.
So if I'm understanding this correctly he was in a tragic accident crossing the street after parking his truck...but was not in the truck...so why is this a workman's comp issue?
Because he was at work. It doesn't matter if he wasn't in the truck when the injury happened. He was on duty at work. If he wasn't at work he would have been home and not on that road where he was ran over. Use your brain. It sounds like you don't have too many brain cells left.
