That is a great story and I am amazed at how easily confused James was during the episode :) .
Those visuals and models 😍 so good
very nice adaptation Aiden, the filming and shots here are great!
love seeing the 3d models in action
I love the lighting in this. Good job!
these are probably my favourite model of the steam team and the narrating is amazing!
Lovely story with great sets and visuals ❤️
Amazing adaption here. Your style is very unique, so much life in it despite being a short video. The shadows seem very dark tho, it kinda dulls the experience a bit for me haha. Great work tho~
I wonder who wrote this story? It's very interesting!
I've been waiting for ages to hear a narration of the story itself, and I did. And also, another find piece of work on the visuals, the crash in particular, and Matt Cooper did an excellent job narrating it. The next story for me I want to hear a narration of is Gordon's Stowaway itself since no one did a narration or remake of that particular story (apart from the summery).
Great job, you should make a remake of the magic railroad chase
Quite an "egg-cellent" story, dude! XD
This was a great story Aiden. :D
That crash was so massive realistically.
This was really well done and I loved the crash, Great work, Aiden!
I remember this from my favourite annual.
Gordon has Duck's whistle sound
Nice and simple. Just how I like them! :)
Sorry for lack of constructiveness. Here’s some more background:
Where a lot of people writing Thomas stories fail nowadays is by over-complicating plots with several minor details that just aren’t needed and add to things to take on board!
Even smaller things like using the North Western Railway’s name and repeating dates, even using station names constantly get very tiresome to listen to after a while.
It’s like a schism has been created where the TVS writers make the show unintelligent and really just a cash grab, whilst on the other end, the wannabes in the fandom overdose on nostalgia and write uninspired and often rather dull fanfics, like the sort you find on a DeviantArt page in ‘THAT’ part of the internet. (Shudders)
But what I’ve been noticing among this recent ‘Renaissance’ of Trainz Thomas films is that many are written in a utilitarian style as if it were by the hand of either Wilbert or Christopher Awdry.
The key to writing a good Thomas story, I believe, comes down to two factors;
- Keeping a healthy balance between readability and technical mumbo-jumbo
- Remembering the original demographic of The Railway Series.
In regards to this last part, Wilbert (and Christopher too, to some extent), unlike other authors, understood children’s intelligence.
He had experience himself, both with his own imagination as a boy and working as a teacher in Palestine. He knew full well that children weren’t stupid, but still weren’t quite ready to go reading C. Hamilton Ellis and O. S. Nock just yet.
So that’s why he weaved The Railway Series the way he did; Whimsical enough to keep people interested, but realistic enough to not insult one’s intelligence and perhaps even educate them.
And now back to the present. This new medium, with a Renaissance to go with it. Here, people like your good self use the exact same methods as Wilbert himself, but updated slightly so as to not seem painfully aged on paper and when read aloud.
It’s so brilliantly done that upon watching some of these stories, I sometimes wonder why neither Awdrys ever thought of them themselves!
Between the likes of you and Carson, I’m really starting to gain a strong respect for your work. The newer software and models too make everything look Season 5 if it was CGI, as opposed to Season 13 onwards, which buggered it up completely!
I look forward to further content of this kind in the future!

Nice story and the narrator did a good job indeed. Only nitpick is that I think your shadows are way too dark
I like it. Thanks!
I liked this video. It was a good story. But I think the majority of it had too much shadows, so it was hard to see.
