You're exactly right i just saw that today in one of her interviews. She can sing without auto tune because she listens to herself and she likes to make things like pitch and everything perfect. Carrie is the real deal and an awesome song writer/artist. My favorite female by all means. She has and was blessed with so much talent and like she said when she isn't touring she likes to be a homebody and do what a mother and a wife does.
When Carrie came through Idol, she changed music landscape. Idol was supposed to be a pop competition and when Carrie won it, she changed it to all genre competition.

Carrie performed in the rain that one morning on ABC's "Good Morning, America". She could have done in the studio and stayed nice and dry. But since the crowd was standing for three hours, waiting for her to perform. She decided to perform outside. She figured she owed her fans that from her.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of medley submissions, but two thumbs up for Carrie's tasteful, stylish attire. The colors in particular work extremely well.
Only problem with it. Carrie admitted she was freezing while doing this performance. It was around 10 degrees when she was performing.

But as Mark, the band director puts it. Carrie is the reason they are performing. Carrie is so good, she has earned the right to be in the spotlight and that much room.
