As clunky as dmd1 can be at times, its still one of my favourite games of all time Amazing run man, i never could beat nelo angelo 3 without using life starts in dmd :'( Same with mundus 1 but purple stars instead

I don't know exactly, I did a SB run first (6 months, hardest run ever) so I knew already the DMD strats, but I start speedrunning in normal mode (3 months) until I got the WR, then I began the DMD mode (probably 2 years with long pauses). The most interesting was to improve the route, I'm sure, with a larger speerunner comunity, new route or new tricks could be found. Last thing, the game will be rerelease in march on PC, I hope it will be the fastest version, and I could develope some tools as I did on Resident Evil 0 HD.
damn dmc 5 took their inspirational enemy from the first DMC . for example the shadow beast . it was V's creature actually . no wonder it felt like the creature had the same kind of attack .
my god,you sir is the true LDK,dmc1 is my favorite,is a master piece,perfect speedrun,such beauty skills and gameplay,in my opinion dmc1 have more depth and tecnic than the others which focus more in fancy combos but most of it is just for show
Please no. Both games are perfect as is. DMC3 definitely doesn't need it. I understand ppl having issues with the camera in DMC1, and I would love updated graphics too, but I'm too scared of them fucking it up somehow. Unless Bluepoint remakes it like they remade Demon's Souls, but EVEN THEN I still have some nitpicks with it (like how they added unnecessary details to some armor sets and weapons).
I'm assuming the reason that you'll smash some random objects and take the time to kill some enemies that don't need to be killed is because you need to earn a certain number of red orbs for the S rank?
You took your time trying to get the blue orb ( 1:15/1:16 ). You can only get the blue orb after you get the Quicksilver ball. Getting Quicksilver triggers that secret blue orb.
55:40 he never enters the room where its located...and then its in the new location..in the bed.... Weird. I was about to coment same thing. Crazy speed run. I cant finish on the hard 😅
I always found trouble fighting against Nightmare, but after watching your strat I feel a bit sheepish. Nice playthrough ^_^ still think you could shave a minute or two off with perfect jumps. Also why don't you attack a different shadow whilst one is in it's red dying phase? You seemed to wait till the other one died first, seemed slower to me.
A red shadow is too much agressiv and we have to wait a certain attack (long spear) to begin to shoot him. The fastest way is, let you swallow directly by the red, but with this strat you can't get a SB.
Why did you sometimes let the Sins (Scissors and Scythe) and Shadow activate their Devil Triggers? Also it's interesting to see how the glow of the Devil Trigger makes the Sins look red like the Deaths.
you're play style is a little awk, but you are definitely the number 1 right now fun run to watch, thanks for the knowlede. say you picking up momentum as the run went longer, that's a good attitude to have
I call bullshit on the 2nd griffon boss fight. That little red bird takes more than how short you shoot it on DMD. literally playing it right now and takes a lot more than that smfh

Nothing is unlocked with 100%, you can just unlock two difficulties (Hard and Dante Must Die), and two costumes (Legendary Dark Knight and Super Dante).
Amazing run buddy. Currently I'm playing it on Hard on PS4 and I can't say I struggle this much aside from a couple of bosses. What I've noticed though when I tried to copy your moveset specifically against Griffon 3, Nelo Angelo 3 and Nightmare is that they don't seem to be affected much by my groundbreaking combos. I mean that before I even manage to start my combo they tend to actually hit me themselves. Especially Nightmare, he just won't stand still to let me finish him off the way you do. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I too slow? This is my second run ever in the game and it is on hard difficulty. I understand that you're more experienced with this ofc and it's clear you've made plenty of runs to be able to have such an awesome skill and bravado during them fights. But I do try to be aggressive as well but it doesn't seem to work that well.
No such thing as too slow, just off timing. Try to learn every move a boss does and what triggers them. Video playthroughs are great resources. Should save up yellow orbs and save point before a boss, to fight it as many different way and styles as you can to learn about it. DMC1 is so dense and deep it's crazy this came out right when ps2 did.
I'm struggling with the nightmare boss on DMD I ain't using LDK but I have max health and max DT and cant seem to get him past half health before I die when you attacked yours it didnt move alot mine moves alot while i attack it and it spears me
Counter the sidestab by Stinger'ing it. This will stop the sidestab and force open Nightmare's core. Be economical with your attacks however - use fully charged Ifrit hits to crush the cores, don't spam hits with Alastor. The cores are damaged based on the number of hits, not amount of damage, and the core states persist through all the Nightmare fights, with each destroyed core making it irreversibly harder in the subsequent fights.

Quand tu finis la première mission secrète après avoir battu Phatom, tu as un fragments d'orbe bleue là ou tu actives le sceau du lion, tu n'as pas récupéré ce fragment, malheureusement la run n'est pas un 100%
Ce fragment est ignoré durant la mission 3 pour soucis de temps et est récupéré plus tard. Dans le cas d'un oublie de fragment, le dernier récupéré ne serait pas un multiple de 4.

@@ffnovice7 You can hit him two times if you activate the DT at a right timing, when he will start his vortex, he move his hands , when hands are at the very top, activate your DT, something like that, this is not consistent.

@Matteo Leonardi i was recently explained by another helpful speedrunner that dante will in fact survive with 1 hp if he is hit with a lethal blow while the hp is in the green (above 300 hp)

Save up items and upgrades from Normal first, then play new game+ as Hard with all upgrades. Get everything before DMD!

While fighting mundus you can only use round trip bcoz it can hit any enemy from far away and it returns to us by hitting an enemy 😁😜

In the third mission, don't take the red orbs at the same position, then later they become big red orbs.

Absolutly not, he have just Yamato right at the begining, also the Yamato's DT is faster to be consumed.
