@@emilyrich1317 The CDC says if you are in physical activity, you don’t have to wear a mask. There is as much of a risk as there is everywhere else whenever people don’t cover their nose and mouth while wearing a mask.
@@lydiagundolf7000 just ry who said i don’t do cheer? i’ve done cheer since i could walk... and i’m taking a break this year bc of an injury,surgery and family reasons and covid-19. cheer isn’t a priority right now and i have friends who are cheering during the pandemic. idc they do what they want. my mom cannot get exposed to covid and catch it, if she does she would die.. my sister has trouble breathing and i’m pissed with the fact that everyone thinks it’s okay to resume activities without taking precautions.. my gym has had covid cases many times at first masks were not required and after covid cases and no masks at the gym the owner then decided it was to time to enforce a mask law. No mask=no cheer. People are dying everyday and every second from the virus and i don’t think it’s fair that people get to live a normal life acting like nothing is happening when their is a 4 year old who just lost their dad or mom to covid due to the selfishness of someone who doesn’t want to wear a mask because they have “breathing problems” or they will “pass out” if they wear a mask because they are doing a “difficult stunt” or “hard pass”. no exceptions no excuses. if you cannot wear a mask at all times when you are outside of your home then please stay home. poor innocent families are affected every second because of the careless actions of “karens”. I lost my brother this past week, along with my uncle. My brother’s birthday is on thursday and he was turning 12. He was a perfectly healthy kid who was a baseball player and very active. He had caught covid from a friend who was mask-less at a football game. Passing the ball back and forth. Breathing on the ball. It was the actions of my brother’s friends that killed him. His friend told him he had been quarantined for 3 weeks and had been tested because of an exposure at football. His friend came back positive and had no symptoms whatsoever but little did we know tuesday night weeks ago, after quarantined for awhile with covid his friend was at football practice after coming back telling everyone he came back “negative” but still had covid my brother’s friend spread covid to his team and my brother. The way my brother got covid was his friend jacob (not his real name but let’s say that’s his name, not saying for privacy reasons) told my brother James (my brother)(his real name is james) that he got tested again which was a lie and asked to hang out. Jacobs family all had covid and got over it and told my parents that they all got tested again and tested negative after testing positive my brother hung out with jacob thinking he was better and wouldn’t be at risk bc he wasn’t if jacob actually was negative but no. thanks to my brothers friends actions my brother fought weeks and passed on at the age of 12. and for people to think that a sport is a priority in the middle of a global pandemic is absolutely disgusting and embarrassing as families are affected every second. it’s not that hard to wear a mask when around others or in public places. my neighbors son has autism, cerebral palsy and adhd and she still makes him wear a mask. my mom who has a hard time breathing still wears a mask because she doesn’t want people to experience what we had experienced. it’s absolutely disgusting. do ur virtual competitions and practices with a mask on. if that’s to hard to ask then you should be ashamed of yourself and definitely not be doing cheer right now. unacceptable and so painful and heartbreaking that you people don’t care about the lives of others right now and are so selfish to think that just because you don’t have covid your not hurting anymore or exposing anybody. FALSE. I get it the masks are annoying and they are a pain in the butt but i’d rather be alive with the people around me who love and support me than to see them dead and in pain because of a strangers selfish actions. it’s literally not that difficult to wear a mask to a 2 hour practice. if it’s hard to breathe in one dont make excuses about it. Pick out a disposable one. A surgeon mask. those are a lot thinner to breathe in. You wouldn’t want to be the person who accidentally gave covid to a patient who recovered from lung cancer (or another disease or cancer) and then the covid won and took the life of that person. sad, disturbing and disgusting. all people are asking is to wear a mask at all times that you are in public and don’t go to loathe gatherings without a mask. to stay home if you feel sick, been exposed or have it. It’s sad that i have to write an entire essay about common sense to someone and how masks help protect you and others. So please all i ask is for you to not be so greedy and please please please just wear a mask in public at all times. it’s literally not that hard. wearing a mask and following CDC guidelines is how we are going to put an end to the pandemic and stop the pain of innocent people who have or will be taken from loved ones. You can make a difference.. You can help be the change. if we all wear a mask in public at all times and not go to large gatherings or not get tested if you feel sick then believe it or not covid could be gone in a couple weeks or months. We have to be the change and make this better together or else none of us may survive... the vaccine is out and almost ready to all, i advise you get it if your available for it, my dad got his. @@emilyrich1317 you don’t know me. i have already had covid while staying safe. i always wear my mask correctly when i am in public. my cheer gym has rules because of covid. we wear our mask when we are inside the gym when we are not working out. we also wear it when we are leaving the gym. we all, staff members, athletes, parents, etc., wash our hands before entering and leaving the gym. we stay six feet apart whenever we are not at cheer practice. we also compete virtually. maybe you shouldn’t make assumptions about people whenever you don’t even know them.

They’ve already competed at 2 comps. They haven’t hit 0 at a comp this season so hopefully they do at Majors.

For all of you guys saying they should be wearing masks there are several reasons they arent.
1. This is a very hard sport, doing this would cause them to pass out and get nausea from the heat that their face gets from doing passes especially the flyers.
2. Although this is a contact sport, it is not recommended to do a sport as hard as cheer with your masks on, they are staying 6 feet away from the crowd, and there arent many people there besides staff and parents.
3. When they practice besides showcase, they probably put their masks on and stop every half of the routine to make sure everyone is okay. Thank you for understanding.

OHHHH SHITTTTTT. If they hit this routine at Worlds then it's a wrap. World Champs AGAIN! No one can touch their energy and performance. Love the fast paced routine. Very entertaining.
R Bell if* as in if there is a worlds this year.. They could be world champs if they put a mask on so they don’t catch covid and experience major complications from it and even die. the sport can wait but lives cannot.

The covid police makes it really hard to watch these videos. At this point, just stop all star cheer because people keep complaining and complaining about masks. The ones who keep complaining probably don’t even cheer level 6 anyway. 🥴
So are y’all incompetent because in some states in is ILLEGAL to wear a mask in high caliber sports because it can lead to poor oxygenation and sometimes death.
If you can do it with a mask more power to you but if they are going through the necessary precautions such as getting tested regularly and a whole lot more. Don’t be crapping on them.
They said the masks don’t work so well take other precautions. I’m sure they only have them off for full outs that’s it

@Ryleigh Cheer i am christian. i have prayed to god for a miracle and he gave us it. it’s called the vaccine. my parents are both vaccinated and so are my two older brothers i’m next. i don’t like getting shots but i will suck it up for my moms friend and her mom who have breast cancer. people like you who turn down the vaccine are real nasty people!
