Carnevale degli animali - Il Cigno (Camille Saint Saens)

Second-last piece from Carnaval des animaux by the french composer Camille Saint-Saens, Le Cygne expresses the long-neck bird's grace and its beauty. This "Andantino grazioso" was originally written for cello, with the accompaniment of two pianos. This version includes the two pianos accompaniment and the cello is substituted by the sweet and warm sound of the clarinet.
The emotional and immediate character of the piece contributed to its big success included the use of this piece as an importat baòòet solo called "Swan death".
