Building up the internal visual library is something I have heard plenty of artists discuss, but this is the first time I have seen this concept explained so simply with visual representation. Thank you! Great tutorial and video!
After watching 17 other videos on how to do this (not kidding) I found this one! Thank you for making this! Helps me so much, too much, way too much I feel like a beginner artist becoming a pro!😂 you are so underrated! I subbed and love your art! Keep it up!
This was really helpful, I struggle with dragon posing and stuff like that, so this will probably help me. I always forget I can use references so I will do that more often. Also doing the wing thing with bats or birds is gonna be really helpful because wings are one of the things I struggle with most. :D
Oh my gosh this is amazing!!! IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I have been struggling with poses for the longest time and now they look actually half decent!!! Thank you so much for this!!!!❤❤❤
This is so helpful! I wanted to get back into drawing and had a mighty need to draw dragons, so thabk you for this, i was feeling a bit overwhelmed but also wanted to draw what i wanted rather than starting with basics again. 😁
I try doing this and it worked but when I do it. It doesn't look good the first time but when I look away from it for a second it looks good but when I try to do it away I never seem to do it again but a couple minutes later I can but I am gust saying can you do a video on how to drow like you do and good the first time that is gust me o am gust saying this when I gust started but thank you for the rephrase and by the when everyone should like and sub also click that notification boston. Because I believe that a lot of people need help when they first started out drawing so that you for this video ps my kitten loves playing with my atr supplies😂❤
Oh I’m glad! For these sketches I mostly used a pen brush that I modified forever ago and I don’t even remember what it originally was! But basically I took one of the generic procreate brushes and messed with the settings. For painting I use a bunch of different ones like the generic round brush, flat brush, and gouache brush
How herd of a kangaroo, I don't know much about them, but do know that they jump or bounce on there back legs, and that they have ARM'S! And that's why you can just use a kangaroo and a bat, for your dragon, you can just make a bat kangaroo hybrid, but such a thing would be much worse then a horse bat, so I can understand why you choose that over the kangaroo bat thing.
Good information, but you shouldn’t rely too hard on reference. If you want to get to where you can draw anything you imagine, you need to eventually try to stop using references so much. That being said, references are a good place to start
jesus christ this is like the only video on yt that does this and im just now finding it after breaking my soul into a million pieces
Yess the struggle of drawing dragon poses is so real and so underrated!

Hi, i know it seems random but Repent and believe the gospel, this could be your last chance to be saved, jesus loves you and God bless you ❤️!

a kangaroo bat hybrid would be terrifying!!!
Liked thumbnail 1 more than diff i saw and seems like u do similar thing to what i do don't mix stuff in that much when digital though
I’m so sorry I didn’t understand a word of this 😅
do i need to use reference only from bat and birds for winged dragons
you can use anything you want! whatever you think looks cool
@@abookwyrmdraws thenks
If you want can reference pheonix, swan, owl, raven ....
Can we screen shot your sketch for reference? (And of course give credit)
Oh yep! You can!
Good information, but you shouldn’t rely too hard on reference. If you want to get to where you can draw anything you imagine, you need to eventually try to stop using references so much. That being said, references are a good place to start
I agree! I think practicing with and without references is helpful
thas just wrong
