I don't know what's special in Pakistani singers but every Pakistani singer i've heard are a Masterpiece in themselves. I owe my respect to all those singers 👏

I too expected the same from the audience. this was the cream of the subcon who knew music more than anyone else, but they could not stand up for these two living legends.
Shankar Jee: I am from Pakistan and I am proud of Shafqat's singing and his contribution bridiging these two beautiful countries together through the music; the universal truth. But Shankar Jee your singing is heart touching and soul toching for when you sang "Lal Meri Patt", the duait was misermizing. What a great masters and singers performed together at a level where words become meaningless to appreciate; only appreciations are when tears roll on down and soul starts vibrating. Great performance. Salute to both of you.

Believe me when i say shafqat amanat ali literally made me cry like a baby when he sung maa!!!!! He's a gem !!!!
The song was originally sung by Shafqat and it's one of my favorite songs of all time but I have to admit after listening it in Shankar's voice it sounds so pleasing to ears. No doubt Shankar Mahadevan has excellent command on all the surs and greatest hold on sargam.

Agar lower range mei sunna ho Shafqat has no match.... Bcz of that base and such pretty voice. Similarly higher notes mein Shankar is a king.

May be its just me but I never seen anyone that has control over his voice like Shankar has. He is master at not only singing his songs but the ease with which he songs of other singer is amazing !!
In the beginning of the video, I really felt confused by how this both artist were bringing songs in their style. Shafqat is all time my favourite but Shankar is close to my heart. Also, about the mora saiyan by Shankar was something I never had expected, he brought it differently. Amazing feeling seeing them both perform together once again.
