I am currently working on an Edwardian bathing costume too! I am making a video as well. I am glad to hear it is a little warmer than a modern suit - the water is cold where I live!
I loved this video and I loved that you tried it out. I've often wondered what that would be like. It really looks so cute and pretty. Thank you for this!
It really wasn’t the jumpsuit waist but rather the skirt waist that was falling. I though I could add hooks and eyes to attach them together. I know that people used to do that for regular garments so why not for bathing costume, too?
@@withmyhandsdream I have seen some extant ones that had buttons at the waist, as hooks and eyes might open up from the fabric moving around in the water... Looks really nice though!!
It's a pretty suit. Great job of creating it.
Omg that looks like an amazing place to swim! and makes it look very timeless.

Thank you! It was a fun experiment!
Well, it looks cute, even though it's not what we would consider practical today! You did a fab job making it!!
Thank you!
I love how this turned out!
Thank you!
Wow ! Looking great ! Maybe the waistband was originally tied to the corset ?
