Your incorrect with the brush bar works on vacuum to spin, it has a motor and on the head and extension tube there are contacts that can get dirty that stops a current running down the tube to the motor on the head. It may help if you clean them with contact cleaner as well.
We're on our third brush head. First was dead on arrival, second was replaced last week and lasted 10 minutes. Awaiting the third. The drive motor keeps failing.
This video was rough, my dyson head makes a slight 'click click click' like its trying to start-but wont spin, only way to get it to spin, is be in motion and rolling and head will spin. Checked it all and its all clean as whistle, something electronic-this video did not help my issue.
My cleaning head (V11 animal) is not spinning and I don't see any of the problems as he mentioned. Mine ran for about 10 seconds, made a loud screeching sound then stop spinning. I stopped it, wait 10 seconds then started again then it ran for about 10 seconds, made a lound sound then stop again. The cleaning head looks clean, no dirt, no hair, and nothing is broken. It just does not work continuously.???
I'm watching the video, but I hit that downvote button hard. We come to solution videos for solutions, not to be screamed at. EDIT: this is awful advice. Clean it, yes, but It's called a motorhead because the brush is run by a motor. No airway blockage is going to prevent the brush from spinning.
Don't know if you actually fixed it or not but I couldn't stick around to find out. I'll find someone else who isn't yelling at me in an echo chamber to figure out how to fix mine.
