Hi, very informative; is their such a thing as a combined logic analyser/generator for pc use? In the old days you could use a hp 16500b and have generator modules that could be programmed via gpib. This was extremely useful but obviously even now those devices are big and expensive, any thoughts?
Nice overview of a decent little device. What are the triggering options like? I’ve always thought that the Saleae is rather limited in this regard. I keep sticking with my Open Logic Sniffer, which has great triggering for capturing the specific conditions you’re looking for. (It would be useless otherwise, given its tiny 24K capture buffer.)
There is the usual falling edge, rising edge, high and low-level trigger methods. You can also combine multiple triggers in a logic AND condition, wherein sampling starts when all conditions are met.

Flying leads rather than shielded micro-coax at those frequencies doesn't really make much sense. Have you tested it at the faster sample rates?

Are you limited to select a specific logic level on >all< pins for a given work case, or can you mix e.g. 3.3V and 5V levels at random??
How well does the 100mhz actually work across USB 2?

Unfortunately triggers are weak, just like the Saleae.

16 channel mode and 16MHz. For 4.608MHz on all channels its bad choice. Glitchs. If on all channels signal frequency
