Hey guys, I thought some people might like seeing the first 6 episodes of the Holy Roman Empire series reframed into a comprehensive story about the Franks. It's a mutt of a video due to progressively better video editing + a new microphone. The first half of Chapter One is remastered, while every other chapter has mostly been left untouched. I have also added a new intro + conclusion reflecting on what the Franks achieved. Every chapter has a detailed description of what is covered. When I have enough time or a bigger budget, I'd love to remaster the entire thing since by then the video editing should be even better. Thanks as always for watching! I'm gonna get back to work on the next video about the rise of the Ottonians.
I'm so glad you got recommended to me a few months ago. This series, particularly the Merovingian episode (a topic with few resources to turn to, especially video resources), is the kind of content that keeps TH-cam interesting. It makes me realize what I missed by not taking liberal arts courses seriously when I was in high school and college.

Spam. Well my stepfather's sister married a man who's family name is Frank, and as a result some of her children have that last name as well. To make things more interesting, some of us called him Uncle Frank (because his first name was duplicitous amongst our uncles). He was a prolific prankster and a a proud NY'er. As far as I have heard, there isn't any connection to the famous name but they appear to have German facial features, nearly the entire household worked in literature, and they are mildly famous on their own. It seems to confuse people. Locally here there was also some collision of Frank avatars which I admit that I found humorous because of the pith element. That further completed the tabloid legend.
