Main thing missing I've noticed is product owners being involved in the process. Usually it's developers and the team lead fielding questions directly from the customers / stakeholders. Then you get into a cycle of Jira being used like support tickets with the expectation they'll be done right away, and the standup being treated like a triage session.
Do you have any videos snowing how it works instead of telling us? I've noticed the difference in Jira from last year to this year. Creating an epic and showing my board is completely different, I'd like to see how the new version works step by step. It would alleviate a lot of confusion. Thank you.
what is the best app in your expert opinion for product development - I am not just adding some improvements to an existing product, but really am developing some patented ground-breaking technology both in the electronics inside the handle housing and the actual design and material of the cleaning head that will be used to rid hair off textiles/fabrics such as clothing and upholstery. Right now, I am focused heavily on finding the right fit team members (mechanical engineers) - so in other words, recruiting strategies are the main focus here now for me. there are so many things and ideas that involve recruitment alone just in terms of my daily tasks and staying organized on small, bite-sized goals is crucial. These same skills on my own will transition when I hire solid and professional engineers and Project managers, Ph.D. professors, etc. Sorry for the overload of extra information, but what does Megan feel would be best for product development when the objective ultimately is lots of R&D and innovation and a minimum of 4-5 main team members jsut from a development expertise perspective? Thanks, Bonafide-
A practical example(s) would explain this better. Where or what is the framework? In the teams head,on a whiteboard, on paper, files onn a computer? Hmmmm
"Bull-shit jobs: a form of paid employment that is so completely pointless, unnecessary, or pernicious that even the employee cannot justify its existence even though, as part of the conditions of employment, the employee feels obliged to pretend that this is not the case." ~ David Graeber What Scrum actually is: A way for management to implicitly micromanage every single thing you do, every single day. A way to get you to feel bad for not working 10hrs-12hrs a day, and not being a 'team player'. Imagine having to attend a meeting every morning to discuss what you did the previous day. What absolute garbage.
Scrum, in practice, is a guideline adaptive approach. In a real world scenario it is extremely flexible and adaptively applied to each project (although, the essential framework is generally followed). The foundation is AGILE!!! In which ever way one may feel inclined to interpret it, it is simply one development ergonomic variation of AGILE...
Am I the only one creeped out by the host's wide eye, no blink staring (and weird hand gestures)? It must be true that everyone in silicon valley is on that LSD/mushrooms, and this behavior is evident of that. I think I'd rather stick to my own personal projects than adopt a framework which encourages change of mindset outside of the programming environment. The only thing that should do that is the Bible.
@@ecruiseable Maybe I could've phrased it differently, but this person creeps me out, plain and simple. There is something off about her. It is also a well known fact that many people in the software dev field also are heavily into psychedelics, and it isn't uncommon for it to be noticeable (i.e., dilated eyes, extreme focus with no blinking, etc.) I mean you can count the amount of times this person blinks on one hand throughout the whole video, that isn't normal, and is just creepy. I'm not sorry for pointing that out.

Derogatory and rude. So much for Christian values after all, hey?

Also, Jesus: "... except when it's a women with black eyes in San Francisco."
