    I must say, everyone wants to tout “melting pot” as a great thing. I think what makes the Virgin Islands an amazing place is our distinct culture. The things that are unique to us 💕💕💕

      Yes. I noticed that too. An no one saw the others interview. Everyone gets along well down here and we respect each others culture.

      I’m actually glad you said that. I like and prefer distinct culture vs. every assimilating or melting into one. I’m beyond ready to leave the mainland and we are looking at USVI.

    Some spots we really enjoyed on our recent June 2023 included Oceana, Mafolie, and Virgillo's. But if you go off the path and want local cuisine with a Latin flavor I suggest Rancho Latino. Cravin Crab wasn't bad and we had a fun Sunday brunch at St Thomas Social in Yacht Haven. However, I was really happy to go shopping at the grocery store and got frozen Jamaican Patties and Ting (this was my daily lunch meal). Lastly, zip lining was my favorite activity as the views above Magens Bay are awesome. Also, night kayaking at Marriot Frenchman's Cove was fun. We didn't go sailing but the VI Cat at the hotel offers great snorkeling and sunset trips. The best beach we visited was on our day trip to St John and Trunk Bay was the bomb and just awesome. I got a lot of great suggestions by watching this channel and driving was super easy as I was familiar with many landmarks especially along the waterfront.

    Must do is hike to Santa Maria bay and drive down to Neltjeburg bay. Those two places are absolutely awesome. We ate at two places that were very good. Twisted Cork was very good for fine dining. Lion fish and Chips. The Dog House Pub was an awesome little spot to hang out and eat one night.

      Most of them are locally owned and operated restaurants. Look forward to me doing a video of more locally owned and operated business soon!

    Where did you purchase the blue long sleeve shirt you are wearing at the end of the video?

    • @mblydenvlogs
      @mblydenvlogs ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Excellent question. I actually sell them on a website I run. The Website www.myviprints.com. The shirt are called “rash guards”. Be sure to purchase a size smaller than what you would wear in T-shirt sizes.

    Is there any Cuban restaurant in USVI?

    • @mblydenvlogs
      @mblydenvlogs ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great question. There is non that I am aware of, but if there is it would most likely be in St. Croix. I’ll ask around and get back to you or maybe someone watching this vLog and seeing this question might have the answer.
