The last algorithm is 3 moves longer than it needs to be. Move 7 and 8 cancel each other. ( U *R', R* U) The highlighted moves cancel each other and you're left with a U, U = U2 Here's the corrected version: *L' U R U' L U2 R' U R U2 R'*
Hi @SlushyPoet 523. In the mirror cube, the dimensions and sizes of the individual pieces in the cube, inform you which "color" a peice is. This means that if the top face of the cube is flat, the entire face has been solved to the same color. If you simply check the top face, or if you try to feel it to see if it is flat, you can know if this step has been completed. I hope this resolves your question. Please ask if you have any more doubts, and good luck with solving!
There actually wasn't any good quality tutorials on the cube when I learnt to solve it, so I actually learnt by trying to solve it like an ordinary 2x2. It is actually easier than it seems! It took about 2 weeks without the tutorials. Now that I have learnt how to solve it, I am more than happy to share the knowledge! 😉
there are 2 ways to beat this. the easy way: solve it and don't care about the horizontal and vertical lines the hard way: do it with the horizontal and vertical lines
Just like in the normal 2x2 Rubik's cube, part 1 is about matching up the pieces at the bottom of the cube. To do this, find pieces of similar length, and place them together, at the bottom of the cube. Make sure that the sides of the cube are even, and flat, in the bottom layer. Good luck!
I can do a 3x3, I can do a 2x2, but I can't do this. I don't understand any of the language he uses R Prime, U2, means nothing to me, yet I can still solve a 3x3 and a standard 2x2 which I find too easy. Why can't I do this!!!! I can get the first layer easy but then I've no idea
2:53 Upper face
In the last algorithm, why did you do R' then R.
Exactly. They cancel each other, so your left with U U. So basically skip the R',R and do a U2
First time I have seen how to solve mirror cube...well explained...Easy to follow
Thank you so much!

Like how do you do the top how do you tell if it is flat or not I don't understand

What’s the point of having R’R in your algorithm? You are just undoing what you just did. It’s a waste.
Yo one of my sections is flipped
