Waimangu Volcanic Valley- the world's youngest geothermal area

Waimangu Volcanic Valley is the only geothermal system created within written history. Watch the magnificent display of geysers, hot springs, craters, and steaming vents, and enjoy the scenic view of the Lake Rotomahana cruise.
We opt for the full Waimangu experience, including walking through various hot springs, native forests, native bush, and geysers, then joining the Lake Rotomahana boat cruise.
The tour is divided into two parts. The first part involved a self-guided 1.5 hours walking tour, leading from the visitor center to the jetty of Lake Rotomahana. In the second part, we took a 45 minutes guided boat tour of the lake.
