How did you buy tickets? I know you applied in the lottery as a fish tank member, however does the fish tank website handle the tickets or did you have to go through a official Japanese ticket website? I’m a fish tank member and I’m preparing to buy tickets in advance for this upcoming tour, but I can’t use the Japanese ticket sites because they don’t allow overseas payment/ phone number.
Ahh it’s a long story i hope i can sum it up well in a TH-cam comment 🥹 When I signed up with FT I used my Uk address but when it came to applying for ticket lottery through FT, I needed a Japanese address because when it comes to entering an address it only provides you with a selection of Japanese prefectures to choose from. I however am very lucky to have a friend who owns a flat in Japan, and they let me enter their address in order for the form to be accepted - I know not many people are able to do this and I’m extremely privileged to have friends who happen to live/rent a property in Japan and unfortunately i can’t offer any advice in regards to that 😭 However, the address is just a formality and to my knowledge nothing is sent there at all (tickets are entirely digital and accessed through the Buck-Tick app which I had no issue downloading and installing from the Uk App Store!!) so with that in mind, you could possibly register with a proxy shipping service such as Tenso who have a general warehouse address that’s given to you to use when you buy goods from websites such as Amazon.jp, and that warehouse acts as a middle man to send you your order to your home country. I’m not sure if it would work, but it’s worth a try using that address or something similar when applying for fish tank lottery 🥺 I didn’t need to prove my address or residency there or anything but I don’t know how strict they are when it comes to specific location (if it needs to be a domestic flat/house with a number or not etc) I had to go back and re-fill the form many times due to errors before I could get it all right ;; w ; However, when it came to the phone number I was actually able to enter my Uk number perfectly fine! i filled out the Japanese phone number answer box with ‘000 000 0000’ and following that, there is a answer box to write a foreign number if you have one. At no point is your phone number actually needed since ticket collection is all done through the app! And finally, I entered my credit card details (my normal Uk bank card) in order to pay for the ticket should i be chosen. Once the lottery winners are announced the money you paid is deducted for your account by a separate company called ticket Pia - you don’t need to make an account with them or anything like that the payment is made to them no matter what kind of card/bank you have as far as I can see! My bank did not block the payment or anything like that and my purchase was confirmed. Ofc it may differ depending on where you are from, I wish I could help more and i myself had to go back and forth with a friend asking them a multitude of questions just to make sure everything I was doing was ok… took many attempts but once you have one formula that fits you can use it again and again 🥺🙏 im sorry that was such a long paragraph oh my gosh I hoped it helped a little bit I’m still a complete newbie to this !!!
