For instance, putting them in serious action movies with a comedic undertone just like Eddie in 48 hrs. Martin did "Bad Boys". Damon Wayans did "Last Boy Scout". Chris Tucker did "Rush Hour". It's the same treatment, and it gets in the way of them proving themselves because everyone expects a black comedian to be the "Next Eddie Murphy". They don't do that with any other comedian. They didn't give Jim Carrey a formula. They just developed scripts based on his comedic style, which is what they should've done with Martin Lawrence. He had the charisma and was truly funny.
