You can see the entire show on DVD ,, or possibly TH-cam. The song “If I Can Dream” was written specifically for the end song of the 68 comeback special. Elvis wanted a meaningful song because of what was going on in the world at the time such as the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr, ( that happened in Elvis’s home town , Memphis Tenn.), and the assassination Robert Kennedy. My parents saw Elvis in his last concert tour Weeks before he died back then when you took a picture you had a go get prints made from your camera, My father couldn't even get duplicates made because he was scared they would take the photo this is right after he died. 68 comeback special was the best!

Just to let everyone out there or no I was very fortunate to have seen Elvis in concert 5 * and I too was that the second to the last concert the one in Baltimore before he collapsed and died what a great performer there wasn't a person that didn't enjoy the show and the thing about him is the first time he came everybody was yelling for Jailhouse Rock and he apologized because he was unable to perform Jailhouse Rock because he said he didn't practice it but he said when he came back next year he would sing Jailhouse Rock and by golly he came back next year and I was there and he sang Jailhouse Rock just for us love that man so did my son so Elvis say hello to my son he received his angel wings not long ago. 🌹

He had a couple sweet black ladies that he had hired to cook for him and his family and guest,, he grew up in Tupelo Miss, and spent a lot of childhood time in the black section of town called Shack Rag, it was there when he heard blues and black music for the first time.
