I think you should get an e36 and flip it or something not because its a popular model but because they seem to be the car you can have it as you want it and this is the content i love watching rather than actual mechanics like i love how you explain the problem and how to maintain it ❤
Love this man. Watched all the episodes. Lovely to see someone else a similar age (I think) experience an m54, they're so nice. I bloody love my 325i touring msport. Mine absolutely drinks oil when revved out however, so would be interesting to see if the 330i does the same. 1 litre of oil per 1k miles can get expensive..ha!
@@lawriemillerdrums888 that’s crazy, maybe post in some of the forums? I’m sure I’ve seen people talking about oil consumption and some people say they hardly lose any, and some similar to you. Could be slipping past the piston rings and burning maybe? Have you done a compression test?
@@jimdcars my local specialist has given it a good look over, it’s only done 80k. I’ve switched 5w 40 to see if that helps. Would love to do what you’ve done though and scope it all out. Other than that, it rides a dream.
@@lawriemillerdrums888 if you’ve not had the CCV done it could be that, regardless of mileage after 20 years the plastic goes sipper brittle and then it will stop oil retuning to the pan and burn instead
Nice video again bro. How many bmw's you currently own/doing up? I'm gonna do my differential fluid next as seems simple enough. Then think I may do some rust protection and slowly build my confidence. I'm happy I can do oil change and filter now since your videos. How do you learn ? Mostly TH-cam also?
I actually own 4 now haha, you’ll be seeing one of the new projects very soon on the channel. I’ve learnt everything from TH-cam, googling, reading forums and joining owners groups of Facebook. Glad you like the vids!

Jeez something must be wrong for it to be using that much?? Have you got leaks/is it burning a lot? Thanks!
@@jimdcars you’d think so, but that’s what BMW specify as being normal for an m54. 1 quartz per 1k miles. 🫠
