Wild shout: The UFC don't seem arsed about making Pereira v Ankalaev, so Jones vacates the belt and they give him the Pereira fight. Tom gets upgraded to champ and he fights Gane. Both win, fight gets made, Tom hammers him, Jones retires.
Ross and Paul both have fair points regarding the sorry state of affairs in the HW division, only fight to make outside Tom arse malleting Jon is the fight with Gane, because other than that Tom’s gonna murder the whole division and anyone dumb enough to step up from LHW, including Poatan (please refer to Tom’s gameplan of rugby tackling him)
Cant believe ross is saying paul fought good and jones fought pish think he must have took to many punches to the head, stop sucking up pauls arse and tell him how it was he never put it on Bo could tell after the first minute bo wasnt going to wrestle therefore its up to paul to turn it up especially after giving it big licks in the corner. After seein this, Ross is Paul's echo chamber. Listen: Paul's striking was MUCH IMPROVED this past fight, but that's much improved over kind of pish tbf. I heard he's been eating meat this camp so I genuinely believe that has made him more solid (not a crazy theory, especially when you're cutting so much weight), but from this fight with Bo? The volume needs to be upped, at least x3. What Paul threw that night was great and how he intercepted Bo's entries with knees and elbows was super intelligent... If he had even doubled up on his jabs? That would have been a win for him, I think. If he had doubled *every one of his strikes* ? He could contend with every one of the top 5 middleweights.
