Good video, thank you very much! Going out to scan my 2007 Honda Element. I have 245K miles and it runs fantastic, but I am getting nervous that nothing ever breaks... Thanks again!!
Thank you very much for the nice comment and for watching! You can do it both ways since there's a scan setting for when the engine is running. You get sort of a "live" scan of all the vital parameters. But the basic scan, erasing codes, and else is done with just the ignition on.
Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn and others I suppose, are not supported specifically in this device in the USA. Information may be generically under GM. From my first explorations on the SC 301. 11/4/21
Hi Philip and thanks for watching! I think you're right. They've pretty much generalized every manufacturer which is common practice with most manufacturers that make a hobby or semi-professional OBD tool.
You gave the best understandable presentation on this SC301 code reader I've seen yet, Thank You!
You're welcome and glad if the review helped!

Hi, you're welcome, and thanks for watching! I hope you'll be satisfied, a pretty good tool.
Excellent review! Is there ever a need to turn on the engine, not just the ignition? If so, how do you know when to turn on the engine?
Thank you very much for the nice comment and for watching!
