Oh cool, I tried to keep the heavy stuff out and keep it light hearted. A lot of the traditions I talk about go across the board for all Jews with some exceptions.
This was a great video, very informative and looked like lots of fun. The paper chain looks easy to make. food looked good too! Thanks for sharing! Look forward to more videos!
Me too, I am working on my last one for the high holiday series today. Today is the last day of Sukkot 😞 and tonight is our Simcha Torah service at the park.
I’ve been learning more about the biblical feasts and recently discovered that some Christians celebrate them too....I love how you include fun activities for your kids during this time too💛
Decorating Sukkahs looks fun! I also like the idea of creating a mini sukkah out of edible items. I think it’s great how you’re able to take an important concept and make it fun and enjoyable for everyone but especially the children ✨💕
You have no idea. This holiday has so much potential. The only problem is we don’t have enough time because our society wants us to keep working. To us, this is like Christmas.
Hi!!💖 God has used 2020 to introduce these things to our family☺️.. Your video is amazing and so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to put this together and share🌸🌸
Getting into the Tabernacle feast this year in a big way so I had to save your video. Biblical Thanksgiving for the win! 😆😍 I live in a rainforest so we'll likely have to brainstorm a bit but we can totally make this work with our worship. 🤔❤
Thanks for teaching me something new today. Decorating a Sukkah looks like a ton of fun. I like how you can basically put anything on it--fruits, flowers, etc. The butterflies are a cute idea.
over the years from year 2000 ad, approx. help several farms to begin harvesting foods, grown in there area, and we help grow them, help Jews to built their synagogue Sukkah, use several small tents and also open shelters, and just went and cut branches locally that came as close to the trees they have in Israel, the Creator meets us where we are, as a natural Lifestyle alternative beginner, I often sleep in sleeping bags, teach basic natural remedies, this year we moved last year two young fig trees to south side of our trailers that is rented, we had figs 3 to 8 every 2 to 3 weeks from March to Sept, and we will be able to share one fig in four slices quite often through Oct 2020.,
the idea with using the CDs was really cool! the light reflecting off of them is so pretty 😍 ive never heard them before but theyre so neat! thanks so much for teaching us about them!
We got to learn so many new things from this video. We’ve never heard of that tradition/festival before but all the information you gave is super interesting.
It was very interesting to learn about Sukkot. I'm curious is there a traditional greeting for this holiday. Jan 1 we would say Happy New Year's or in Dec we might say Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah. What, if any, would be the greeting during Sukkot.
This is really great very interesting 7 days out of school.. Are you able to use electronics during this time? I worked at an Hotel and we had to do everything for guest no Electronics and not sure if its the same holiday?😍
I don’t think so, I’ve never heard of it But it does vary from group to group. The Bible says 1st and 8th day’s of rest. No work. The Orthodox Jews will say you can’t light a fire, you cannot cook, you can’t walk for longer than a certain distance, no driving, and a bunch of other stuff they consider work. They add a bunch of rules from Oral Law to “just make sure.” They also don’t believe in Jesus as Messiah which makes for a big difference in how they celebrate it too. But I am not sure if they “rest” for the entire 8 days. I’m sure “electronics” can be considered lighting a fire? Unless it’s been on from before the sunsets. Cause you can’t light a fire on Shabbat. I use electronics, probably shouldn’t though for many other reasons. Lol I hope that helps.
I know they lived in egypt but i think it would be more acceptable to say the israelites lived in booths in the wilderness 3:16 just saying . Thank you for the great video techn. they were kinda egyptians citizens when they left .
I want to do this, but since God woke me up about what we should and shouldn't celebrate, I don't want Christmas, Halloween, or anything else pagan christian. I'm just a bare bones way follower now, and I want honor the Sabbath and everything else. I just don't have anyone to do that with and my work doesn't allow it. At least that I know of. I will ask.
I’m not a religious person, I do believe in GOD. My best friend actually celebrates Sukkot. Learned so much in this video

I would go argue its a WAAY better and healthier alternative to halloween!
No Candies
No kids wandering at Night
And no over-scary Horror ❤

Chat Semeach - which just means Happy Holidays in Hebrew. Nothing super special.
Living With Eve Thanks

How could i celebrate these as a teenager and with a family that doesn’t believe in keeping these holidays???
You can in your heart. Even though you cannot go to services or commune with others, God sees your heart.
You can learn how to celebrate by reading scripture, observe it, it does not matter who else is involved... they may be curious and ask you
I know they lived in egypt but i think it would be more acceptable to say the israelites lived in booths in the wilderness 3:16 just saying . Thank you for the great video techn. they were kinda egyptians citizens when they left .
No I agree, it was one of those word mess ups. Israelites would of been the correct word.
@@LivingWithEve your kool may you have a good soon up coming Sukkot.
Thanks.
(Please don’t think of it as a Christmas tree)

@@LivingWithEve Nice and me and our brother and sister have just come to the same conclusion finally. God has answered my prayers.
