After almost 6 years, I've recently started rewatching the series. And somehow it has aged _way_ better than I anticipated (especially compared to Azumanga Daioh).
I've found my people. Ugh, I love this show so much and I'm happy others have seen it! It's truly fantastic. Also can we talk about how original the music sounds? Like whether you can tell what the lyrics are or not, the music and rhythm of the words are so unique and give off a vibe that other more popular animes can never hope to achieve.
for one thing. Its not actually that original. Learn enough of the creative fields of music, writing and art. You quickly realise originality and the striving to be is an idiotic ideal to pursue. Its mastery you aim for. But yeah. This is just a classic rock n roll song (think beach boys and elvis presley) but sang by moe girls. Thats literally all there is to it. But it works because it uses all the tropes and techniques that are known to work for this genre. Its not doing anything new. Its just doing everything it does well.
