With a condition, you can limit the given number by the user. Check the length of the number, and if it is below the limit, add the new digit to the number. Give a try and let me know if you could make it.
Thanks for sharing this video, I think it is not necessary to create a variable for each button, you can use the expression: Display_Num + "1" and do that with each button
This tutorial was super helpful, Kimo. Thank you. Side Note of something I picked up at config: Copying and Pasting of interactions(ctrl c & ctrl v). It would have made editing each set variable to each number easier and faster.
Hey, I like your video explanation but I notice a few things that bothered me while watching your videos (Compared to others). 1. The gradient background is too dark and it was hurting my eyes because was blending with the fIgma frame. So since Figma is a dark frame I would use light gradient background, that way the eyes can stay focused on Figma. 2. Your voice kept going low and high throughout the video, I would check your audio settings or see to it that you are not talking too far from you your microphone as you are explaining, which I think could be the issue in this case. 3. When moving to the next subject a frame pops up explaining the next area but we miss out on a few seconds of you showing those steps, I would suggest instead of the frame that takes up the whole area when switching to the next subject to just show on the side what subject being talked about or something similar. Other than all of that, great explanation, not too fast or too slow, and very well explained, thanks. :)
Thank you very much for letting me know these points. I will try to improve my videos in every new one. I will take these points into consideration. Thanks.❤️❤️
Yeah that's true, maybe easier to make a button with all functions and then duplicate it and modify the expression. If I find better way, I will share with you again. Thank you for your comment❤️
Interesting point. I am using a free version for this channel myself. I need to check it again. However, it is only a beta version now. Thank you for mentioning this point ❤️
Thanks for mentioning it. Yeah, that's true. It was better to make a click effect instead. The purpose was to show that we can prototype within the components and then the instances seprately thanks ❤️.
Great
Finally a video telling us how to do it. Thanks buddy!
❤️❤️
This was very helpful. Thank you ✅
❤️❤️
Nice work, like it.
Thanks a lot ❤️❤️
Amazing tutorial on variables!
❤️❤️
Appreciate and thank you so much I was looking for the variable tutorials and some of them went over my head but you made it simple..😊
❤️❤️
Thank you brother❤❤❤❤normal but help full video thank you again

its great how to set the number length to dial pad for eg. where the number not exceed 10 digits

Yes, that's true. Thanks for sharing
This is so exciting 🤩 Could you prototype the delete/Backspace keys also?
Thanks ❤️ sure I will upload another similar video soon.
Thank you 😊
Excited for this

Cool, so we can copy an interaction itself and paste it on another element? Thanks for sharing this❤️

Hey, I am not able to create an empty variable. Can you suggest how do I make it empty
Did you try to assign empty characters to the string variable? Like " "?
Hey there. This seems super redundant to do that for each button. Wouldn't it be possible to simplify that process 😮
Yeah that's true, maybe easier to make a button with all functions and then duplicate it and modify the expression. If I find better way, I will share with you again. Thank you for your comment❤️
How can we think about adding a back interaction to the string?
That's a good point. I will share the solution when I find out how. Thanks for mentioning it ❤️
Insightful.
However some of the interactions require a premium
Figma account not the free mode.
@mainajoel8462 Yes, that's right. Unfortunately
I Can't Make the String Variable Empty. Can you teach me how to do it ?
You can try to save an empty chars into it using space , " ". Like this. Let me know if it worked.
Press only the "SPACE" button on your keyboard.
Do we need pro version to access the variables and conditionals !!???
No, I guess
@@dulaaluthge1639 It does. You need to have at least Educational Plan (for the free one) to use this feature.
Please is setting up a variable only for professional plans it seams I can't access it using a free plan 😪

is this an app? App buttons do not have hover state

@@Kimoartcave Works as the pressed state
@binbinli2412 Yeah, that is very true. It is better to have a press state instead of on hove indeed.
Nice work, but you put the zero in the wrong spot
Yeah, that is true. The focus in this video was more on how to work with variables. Thank you for your comment ❤️
