I like them both. After watching the Liliac version, it is clear that it is not live but rather a number of takes that are spliced together to produce the awesome end product. The Petersen version is truly live with the occasional mis-strum here and there. They are both superb.
Quite a variation there. I don’t suspect the merry gentlemen wouldn’t get much rest listening to either of these. They were both great and worth the listen. Thanks for the finds, comments and entertainment. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏
Love the Liliac version, I can hear a violin/fiddle in their version. Even though we just see Sam playing guitar, he does play violin so I’m guessing he added that to the recording.
Right Arm keto!! Man what a rocker, nice twist on a golden oldie. Then right into a banjo, fiddle hoedown. Another nice twist. I guess it dosen;t matter how you sing it. Tis the season you all. Ho HO Ho. Remember all you ladies, gents, boys, and girls Santa is watching. Spread the peace everyone. I just found some here. Thanks our man 😎
One Xmas tune I don't hear often and one of my favorites is Drummer Boy Par Rump A Dump Dum Pentatonics did a nice cover of this Years ago. Someone else help me with their favorite version to send to the man of music our host at ACL
I’ve got to agree ! In a live performance you get the heart and soul of the artist and the performance ! In all these production videos your getting the person or persons doing the mixing and mastering interpretations, and their usually always looking to create a grab you moment whether it’s audio wise or visually ! Both were good videos but I have to agree I’m liking the Petersen’s version better ! 🎤🎸🎼
The second one connects with me on a more emotional level. More feels.
@@HoratioAlgerjr-s8p Thank you, jr! I like the Petersons. They really have a togetherness that appeals to me.

Thank you !!

A brilliant contrast. I've been negligent about commenting recently but this was a stunning winner and I can't hold back.

You might be surprised at what chose 😀
Another really good version of Drummer boy Joan Jett and Blackhearts
Both good. But I much prefer when bands play music live. Really shows off The Petersens talent
