In case of colnago this is probably true, because the VR4s was not as aero - tour test shows it was around 20w behind the top competitors, so an increase of 20w brings them to the front which is believable. Another 20w is probably not possible anymore, maybe with a completely different regulation or a different drive train.
The problem with this bike it's the bike fit 😮 i like the look and i'm very happy Colnago made à Aero bike i love aero bike i think it's the future speed speed speed 😊
Are you always on a flat? I'm hoping you are easily hitting 50, 60 or 70+ on a rolling course from time to time (on a downhill). Makes you go faster as well... You probably don't need it, but it does not hurt as well 😅
wow, who would have thought that a bike that was developed for Tadej to win the biggest races in the world, with advanced aerodynamics research and a price tag of 20k wouldn't be very good for a 40 year old who does a 20k spin every other weekend 😂 do you ever look at an f1 monopost and complain that it won't even fit a bag of groceries? 😂
@@michaelmechex yeah... People are really... special nowadays. Dave Arthur asked the developer who this bike was made for - the developer was looking very confused - "for our professional team of course" was the answer. Sure, regular people can buy it, doesn't mean it's optimized for them. Guess that's too hard to understand for some.
Don't get me wrong. That is a gorgeous bike. However, 1:18 "What is the biggest challenge making an aero bike? Is it easy? Tough?" Well, making a road bike more aero than previous models is tough because those previous models were made by some pretty competent people. The real issue here is that you have to put a human on the bike. Since that human is upright, the whole package is really not going to be more aero than humans on the previous models. Yeah, you might be able to throw both old and new bikes with riders in a wind tunnel for a few hundred hours and find a very exact riding position and component list that saves a few watts, but come on. Seriously? Maybe one day someone will invent (or re-invent) a bike that puts the rider in a different position that is not only incredibly more comfortable but also WAAAAY more aero. 🤔 My Cruzbike V20 gets me this... 0.200-0.210 CdA = 200-210 watts for 40kph average speed. That CdA is TT/Tri levels for comparably sized individuals, and I know of 2 riders who got down to the 0.160 level which is even lower than the lowest TT/Tri bike.
Initially, I wasn’t a fan of the look, but the more I see it, the more it grows on me-I’m really starting to like it!
Looks like a seagull 😂

This was by far the best PowerPoint presentation I've seen so far on the y1rs
Hi David
Very informative video as always 👍 Y1RS is growing on me since the launch and looking forward to seeing 1 in the shops 🚴♂️👍
Beautiful bicycle
every year, the new bike that cones out saves you 20 watts. 😂😂😂...
we should be at 0 watts by now
In 2030 we will have a bike that has negative drag. You sit on the bike without pedalling and it accelerates by itself.

I'd venture a guess that they learned a thing or two from the S5.
very good info n kudos to collage. missed opportunity for Bianchi's oltre rc
How long will be nils polit seat post...
How does it compare to the Seka Spear?
Hello David good job.
Is it a bike or a monster ?
It s very sad thing !
You doing soon test !!?
Thank you , a David of France 😊
They need to take those 4 bolts out of the hulk sticker place, apart from that it's quite well done, I wouldn't do better!
These are still prototypes. The final version will have a cover and we won't see the bolts, so hulk will find his place 😂👍
Very unique. I like to own one.
I just wanna know what the „best competition“ is. Cervelo S5, Aeroad. C‘mon Colnago.
If I was in the market for aero bike this would it
no winglets on the fork?
Best way to save watts? Get in the most aero position one can get in. If not?... velomobile
Bank breaking!

But how does it perform?
My Qs: Would Eddy ride it ? What does Ernesto think of it ?
Finally! The Colnago that turned me away from Colnago
It's almost as good as my Triban RC 520 😂
Tell me why
Looks like LOOK T20 track bike
These bikes are not for regular riders like us why the hell would i care about 20 watts as i need to hit 50 k/h which i cant reach to start with 😂😂
