      Yes!!! 🙌🏼 I’ve gotten a few unicorn that were LE and I couldn’t have purchased in store. I always authenticate to be safe. And I did save money off retail on an Alma BB Epi Denim- brand new but seller was really motivated and I saved 300. I’ll take it! ❤️

    I just received my first fashionphile purchase, a vintage Speedy 30 monogram and it is an impeccable condition! She's right about their rating system because I expected to get an older looking bag and the thing looks brand-new, no joke.

    Minnie! Loved this video! I use Fashionphile a lot because of their layaway plan. It is just convenient for a luxury lover like me to pay off an item when i don’t have full funds readily available! It just works out beautifully!

      I feel the same way, I have been searching for the round coin purse and right before it was discontinued, I saw it for $260 and they are selling it close to $600, I mean seriously. It so sad because i had a chance to buy it from Louis but thought I had time and didn't know it was going out of style. 🥺 The thing that bother me the most is that the item is used, why would someone have the heart to charge a price more than the boutique. ☹

    I have purchased 2 bags from Fashionphile, one LV and one Dior, and both were in better condition than stated and a good price. I feel so comfortable buying with their return policy and I also love their customer service. Like anything else you have to do your homework when making a purchase. Some items are priced higher than the boutique, and those I do not buy from them. They also gave a very fair price when I sold an item to them. They give you a label for free shipping and I had my money in my account 2 days after they received it. They are always the first place I check for a preloved items. (But I also have trouble getting notifications so it's not you :))

      They offered me $1200 for my Maui Neverfull MM with pochette & samorga organizer, dust bag & box. This bag was used minimally & looks new & there was only 250 made. I sold it privately for $2350.

    I had purchased two items in the past from TheRealReal, but when I was about to make my third and most expensive purchase (Valentino Rock Stud bag) I noticed that the description said something about a damaged clasp. I couldn't see anything damaged on the pictures, so I emailed them my question. It was the first time I had ever asked a question of them. After a week, I emailed back saying 'hi, haven't heard back from you", and still nothing. But about two weeks after my initial email, I got an email with more pictures - but none of my questions were addressed or answered, and the additional pictures were not of the issue I asked about. Ugh. So my confidence in them made a huge nose-dive, and I don't even browse their site anymore. Now I stick to Fashionphile.

    I absolutely love Fashionphile. I have purchased multiple items from them and have never had any issues. Especially the SLG were like new and they come with all the things you get in the-boutique(except the bag lol) but it’s so worth it! Sometimes they are over priced but more on those items that are hard to find or discontinued and let’s face it their a business looking to make money right? So I appreciate that.

      Some items even above retail value, just as chanel mini. Not sure how fashionphile justify that.

    • @nelr8644
      @nelr8644 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Elaine Chai I agree. I was looking for a chanel classic card holder. Retails for $475. I called my chanel sA and she had one in the leather I wanted and silver hardware. On fashionphile they’re charging well over $600.

      Not uncommon for Fashionphile. Price scalping is not cool.

    • @babablacksheepdog
      @babablacksheepdog 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      From what I have seen, the items that go for above retail price are usually the "hot" items, i.e. either things from a new collection that are hard to get a hold of (these are usually new, so I'm guessing they have buyers that get these things for them) - an example of this would be Hermes bags, or items from a previous collection that are rare and have become quite desirable (for example the "rose gold" classic flap that Chanel came out with a few years ago that has become very sought after in the pre-loved market). It does kind of suck that they do this, but as long as the demand for these items remains high (and the supply remains limited), they will be able to continue doing it. If someone is willing to pay several thousands above retail price for a sought-after or collectible bag (that was already expensive to begin with), then surely a company will jump at the chance to make more money.

    I love Fashionphile. Not only are they my preferred purchasing site, but my favorite to sell as well. Unlike TheRealReal, which mainly consigns, Fashionphile always gives me a competitive rate to purchase out right. I did have one experience in which it took a long time for them to authenticate on their end, but that was also around the holidays, so they were busy. I've made a few successful purchases from TRR. I would also not rule out Vestiare, but they have the most cons, in my opinion. The import costs are high to US, their pictures aren't great, and I've been warned by the Hermes FB group that they have problems with fakes, so bababebi is recommended. That having been said, I bought an Evelyne through them that I absolutely love.
    Have a lovely day!!!

    Have you tried LXR? Their customer service was excellent and they have the little tag policy too. But I’d give it a try! They have bags all over the country in retail stores and you can actually call the store and speak to the person and ask about a specific bag.

    Thanks for all the advice and information! I have always been on the fence about using Fashionphile, even though all I ever hear are good things. I was always just a browser and follower of their items, but I was too nervous to go though with a purchase. I watched your video this morning while getting ready- your new ones are always first on my list when you post- and I so appreciate your insight and I started to really consider going through with buying something from them. Today I discovered one of the items I've been following had dropped in price and with my birthday right around the corner, my husband said told me to go for it...and I did!!! I'm so, so, so excited! Thanks for always offering your very honest and helpful opinions. It's why your channel is my very favorite!

    When purchasing a preloved item the return policy must be including in my opinion. There is not only wear and tear or authenticity issue we need to deal with. No matter how many pictures or how many authentications you got before you make the purchasing you can’t find the odor of the item until you get it in hand. It’s hassle. I personally can’t accept any unusual odors including perfume. The return policy always gives you peace of mind.

    Great video. Your comments about limited description on Real Real is on point. I have been wanting to buy a Hermes custom bracelet, but their sizing is all the same. I know my size but they list it as one size only. Also, as soon as I open up the website, I see a lot of items sold out. I don't know how such expensive items are sold right away. Real Real has a store in San Francisco and Southern California, Century City. As far as Yoogi's closet, they have good return policy but their bags are outdated. My favorite is Vestiaire Collectives, but anything over 800 dollars have custom fees. I also found out that some of their prices are really reasonable. Thanks for the information.

    I like pre-loved for some items because the quality with Chanel for example is not there anymore. Their items from the past seem better quality so I tend to go the pre-loved route with Chanel. There is usually not too much of a difference for me price-wise between buying new and pre-loved esp when paying taxes etc but I really feel the older bags were just made better. And when I say old, I'm not referring to vintage, but bags from even 3 or 4 years ago seem better quality.

    I’ve never purchased pre loved but I want a Wapity so bad! I always miss them on fashionphile so I just set an alert for them on yoogi’s closet.

    For the Fashionphile alerts system: I noticed one time when I went in to my list of alerts, I noticed that they ended up getting reset after a certain time frame so you have to turn them back on to continue getting them. Maybe that’s what happened?

    This was really helpful. A video about selling would be great too. I want to sell two items and am not confident about where to start. eBay was a big failure with luxury items and l'm completely over eBay buyers at the moment.

    Hi - thanks for doing this video! Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience with Fashionphile. I have a small collection of LV and have always bought them new from the Boutique. This time i thought i would try the preloved market. I saw a bag-The Marais bucket bag in DE PM w/pouch. I love the look of the bag and it came with a pouch. So i bought it and i could not wait for it. I ordered it on a Monday and by Wednesday, I still did not get a shipping confirmation. How odd. So i called and they said its being processed. I finally got the shipping conf. that afternoon. Rec'd the bag on Tuesday, following week. I opened the box and much to my surprise, the pouch is missing- only the bucket bag. I called them right away, and they acted like I stole or something. They said they do an investigation and get back to me. Meanwhile the bag is back in the box with the tag. I could not use it. They never called back or emailed. I called them on Wed, Thurs, and finally on Friday. Buy this time I was pissed already and spoke to a manager.To make long story short, they later sent and email stating that the the bucket bag does not come with a pochette, they mistakenly posted the wrong picture. REally?? Even my receipt says that the bag comes with the pochette. They offered a 100 discount- which i took because I wanted to keep the bag. The pochette was just a bonus. I just felt duped and cheated..no more Fashionphile for me..

    My absolute favorite (and unicorn bag) was from a Japanese seller and (as shown in my most recent video) the LV Roxbury Drive in Amarante Vernis leather. This was such a great video Minnie, thank you for sharing. A question for Minks Monday is: what do you thinks of the PVC craze especially the smaller PVC handbags. They are literally everywhere!! Lots of love, Mimi xxx

    What if I buy preloved and let’s say stitching is coming apart or something that is not wear and tear related, Will LV store still repair even though I’m not original buyer? I want to buy my first LV bag (Speedy 30 B) but I’m considering maybe Fashionphile?

    Great video:) and yaaaaasss please share your selling tips! I'm trying to sell a few bags and save for my 1st Chanel! So far Fashionphile has been the best price for my items due to the 20% on Tradsey .. also lots of low ballers! My bags are pristine with boxes and receipts!!!

    I prefer Yoogi’s closet the most... Fashionphile do have large collection; but they are soooo overpriced. Some products I do feel it’s better to go and buy from boutique for few extra dollars rather than buying from FP for just few under retail. I’ve bought from Real real and have good experience as well..

    Any Facebook groups any of you recommend? I'd love to hang among like-minded individuals and have my questions answered by people with more experience. I have been binging on this type of video and it's amazing what I have learned. It totally shaped how I was looking at designer bags before. Thank you all for your contributions!
