I swear this is the best series of Xiao Zhan I ever had. My friend told me that the series maybe boring, but in facts I enjoy 40 episodes so much, I always re run the episodes and learned that they actually create this with so much effort. The friendship between zhiying, chong ming and zhu yan were so soulful and entertaining for the stories. Theres so many beautiful scene with their hanfu, magnificent scene of fight, and even the theme songs were very related with the stories. I wish I can get another drama of this pair. But please make the happy ending a lil bit longer 😂😂. Thank you for create such beautiful lovingly series ❤
The Longest Promise is a really high quality drama, whether it is in acting, plot, costume, special effects, or scene. The story is different from others in the same genre, and instead of fighting for power, giving up all for love, or giving up love for all, Shi Ying has no desire for the throne and instead is just committed to protecting the people. He holds both the people and the one he loves dear, and gives up himself to save both, because the one he loves is part of the people. Xiao Zhan's acting as Shi Ying is superb. He makes you think, yes, this is exactly what a noble and just priest looks like. So clean and pure. This is Shi Ying. His expressions may be subtle, but they are so real and have different layers, that you can almost feel the turmoil and different emotions going through his heart. His switch between Shi Ying and Xu Yao is incredible. You can tell the difference in personas just via acting, no evil makeup, no effects, just from his eyes and the vibe. Shi Ying deserves so much 🥲🥲🥲

But after years, looks like he upgraded the quality in this drama. Yes, Shi Ying is sooo captivating and Zhu Yan's character completed the balance of their roles. After watched the bts, I became more respected to the talents, esp how Xiao Zhan involved with the process, not just based on script. Probably thats why I cant get enough of this series 🤣🤣 even I love the bts and video reaction like this. Anyway, I actually just passing by, turns out this channel is all about Xiao Zhan 😭😭 thank you for creating these, and thank you for reply me too. I've spent some days lookin for this kind of channel and has no friend to talk about this series 🥲🥲🤣 I surely will enjoy your other videos too. 💜

Since The Untamed, Xiao Zhan acted in various different roles, including theatre where he had to deliver an 8 hours performance in front of a live audience with no second takes, which helped refined his acting and diction skills. He used his own voice in The Longest Promise as Shi Ying, which really added to the flavour! He has really grown as an actor. He has his own creative and independent thoughts, and because he so deeply understands and feels the character he plays, he is able to accurately interpret how his character would react and respond in the given circumstances. What's more, he would help his fellow co-workers enhance their scenes too, and encourage them to create their own highlights. Like you said, he was really involved in the whole process! 此刻，离剧集播出将近一年了，我可以吐槽了吧！尤其看到某女演员现场同剧集的对比，我真的很生气，明明可以把身材脸型锻炼成更合适于角色的尺寸！拍ygy准备时为什么不努力呢？因而导致剧集一开播就成为明显得不得了的负评焦点！
不过剧集开播後陆续发出的拍摄花絮看来，这位女演员还算是个蛮可爱的小姑娘！
