Good video, laughed my ass off! Love my Mk IXX Deagle! The one I currently have is in .44 and I like it much better that the .50 I had about 15 years ago. 100% true about the polished chrome finish. I spent more time wiping fingerprints off of my .50 than ever shooting it.
So here's my opinions and experience with the eagles. I bought the CA compliant model in .44 and still have the CA parts in it, however I'm from FL. When I first bought the gun brand new the magazine that came with the gun was a lemon. It would hold on to the top three rounds so tightly that the slide wouldn't have enough inertia to overcome the extractor spring. It was a simple fix by just polishing the feed lips with a fine grit file. But as far as ammo is concerned my gun has run everything I've put through it reliably. Me owning my gun (Israeli made) prompted a friend of mine to buy his (American made) gun and he was having the same malfunctions you were. This is something I've notice with the American desert eagles in 44. That being that strange 45 degree round hangup. I've never had that issue with my gun as it has never had a problem feeding any ammo. So here's my theory. You said it ran fine with the standard barrel but had issues with the barrel with the break on it, which I happened to noticed was an American made barrel. It seems as though the American guns have all the issues and you putting an American barrel on it was then causing those issues. In my opinion and recommendation to potential Desert Eagle buyers, is stick with the Israeli made guns, and parts if you can find them. P.S I personally don't like the 50ae cartridge. It is still rivaled by the hot 44 mags in terms of power, not to mention 44 is much more readily available.... and cheaper. I also think it's the "sweet spot" cartridge for the desert eagle.
Yeah, I prefer the Israeli made over the American made ones as well. The Mark VII I had years ago never had issues. Definitely like .44 Magnum as well-shot a .50AE last week. It was okay, but not worth the hype.
.44 Magnum does really rivial .50 AE in an apples to apples comparison. Especially because the barrel length on revolvers is measured differently. A 6 inch Desert Eagle loses over an inch of barrel length to a 6 inch revolver. So in a lot of cases you are comparing a 5 inch desert eagle to a 7.5 inch Revolver with over pressure loads. Apples to apples it easily beats .44 magnum by a wide margin. It even beats .480 ruger out of a 7.5 inch barrel

You should buy a Beretta 93R, Beretta Cheetahs, Beretta Targets & the Smith & Wesson model 41 & turn them into Auto 9s from the 1987 movie, RoboCop.
