    I made a Smart Recycle Bin that can listen to the sound of your rubbish and uses Audio Classifier ML model to distinguish the collision sound of different objects that is thrown into the bin. The recycle bin will then sort the waste into their respective compartments.

    Good work!!!

    Super cool! I've used something similar at work to sort tiny metal components. You should 100% try to make this a product. The tech works!

    Hello sir. Could you please show us the way to build that new PCB? I didn't find the PCB files in your web site.

    Good idea and good execution!

    Did you have to train an AI for it to recognize the sound? Or is it picking up the general frequencies of the different types of trash?

      I'm using AI, just picking up the frequency makes it impossible to detect two different objects with similar frequencies.

      Thanks! There's still some more work to be done before it's ready, but hopefully we 'll get it out and deployed in the real world!

      @@samuelalexander9488 maybe longevity of the parts. But what else needs to be done?

    • @samuelalexander9488
      @samuelalexander9488  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MechThumbsMostly in design for manufacturing aspect (mechanical and electronics) so we can bring the cost down for mass manufacturing and make the bin look more like an end product rather than a robotics prototype (this includes testing for part's longevity too). More testing and data collection also need to be done to ensure reliability in different noise environments.

      @@samuelalexander9488 Its just one sensor right? a mic. To combat noisy environments. You could have a sonar sensor to reflect off the object as well. I would think paper and metal would give of different reflections. That could be a way to help in loud enviorments like New York.
