this was a beautiful documentary. I think it is important for us, the secular and even non-catholic world, to listen closely to the wisdom of these sisters. We all can learn much, incorporate their wisdom and advise into our secular lives and grow in faith. and hopefully make this a better world.....one day at a time...one person at a time. They have a peace and serenity few of us have in secular life. I considered their life for a while years back and maybe regret at times not seeing it through but it demands immense sacrifice too. I enjoyed the 3 weeks I spent with the nuns - not these, a different order in England

I found the Video very interesting to watch. In the 1970’s when I left University,I approached my local priest with the intention of becoming a priest. It was not to be.I am now married with a family.None of us know what journey we will follow in our lives. For every woman and man who becomes a priest or nun, your life is already chosen from above.
I thank God for showing this to me not even knowing what it all about. Providentially this is what I planned recently to look for ... again! Please pray that I will listen carefully to our Master’s instruction and attend to it with the ears of my heart! St Benedict please guide & pray for me. Amen
It's sad that modern society does not fully comprehend the value of the contemplative life. I'm a Buddhust nun, but I think we have alot in common. Our order is also mostly older women, most describe because there is no support from the secular world or much infrastructure.
So far I have watched this video few times, it is interesting to see how they pray and work in their close knit community. Quiet and contemplating, and staying connected with God through their prayers and their work. May God bless them and their work 🙏✝️.
Well I was Brought here from a Sad Story of Child Sexual Abuse in the Church and I Find My self Warmed and Nourished by These Holy Happy and Holistic People. God Bless them and Help them earn revenue to keep that Sanctuary Safe and Secure. I know it might be intrusive but really it would be great for them and the world if they could do a Series about how They live a 24 hours a Day, Rather like Big Brother , Holy Sister ? It would do very well and a few of us Lapsed Faithful could get something we need as well .
Derek Stynes the scandals of this age in the Church are many and grave. Nonetheless, God's grace shines upon us, especially through those whose lives are wrapped around the heart of the Church.
@@toddstevens6608 It is hard to know if living communally deprives people of personal privacy and development. By the time people are immersed in this kind of communal isolation for a while, they experience many emotional deprivations. They adjust to this lack without realizing the richness of emotional development they have missed when so many aspects of life remain latent. Experience matures us. That is how God made us. The plaster statues are symbols of possibly frozen emotional developmental states.
@@Charity-vm4bt Everything you just said is based on your subjective, judgemental belief protestant-mindset . As far as statues and images: They're simply used to draw us deeper into mediation on the Sacred mysteries of our Salvation. They seem very joyful, peaceful and happy. Light hearted as well. Those are all emotions. Don't act like a Pharasee.
Dear Sisters, I will be writing you a letter in the next day or two, or over the next few days I should say. I hope you are still getting these texts messages after the years have past since this video came out..Anywho, I’m desperately needing your prayers but will explain in letter. Again I will explain more. I’m 63 yrs old and have never wanted God in my life more..Thank you all, THANK YOU!
I pray that local communities of sisters choose hospitality to lay Catholics. I love staying with the local Episcopal monks a couple of times each year, and while the brothers are wonderful, I would LOOOOVe to stay with sisters.
Ask many Irish girls who encountered nuns either through education or enforced labour in laundries and they won't have such a rosy eyed view. Many young women were forced into the convents by their religious mad parents under the guise of a 'vocation' and in reality had no business being around young children or the vulnerable in society.
This is a truly beautiful documentation. And the Sisters incredibly beautiful in spirit and being. Over the years, I have enjoyed watching this piece countless times. However, I notice this time (Sept. 13, 2021) that there are many audio gaps and audio-visual mismatches throughout the playback. Why is this? It badly affects the viewing of it.
Beautiful and inspiring documentary! The cinematography is stunning. Thank you. As these are Cistercian Sisters, would they be of the Strict Observance (OCSO) or of the Common Observance? Not sure if that distinction applies to Cistercian women's communities! I don't think they are of the Strict Observance or they would be called Trappistines. If anyone can shed some light an answer to on my question, it would be appreciated. Thank you from Baltimore, MD, USA
Unlike some other monastic orders, these Cistercian sister do not take a"vow of silence". There are however rules they follow to maintain what they call an "atmosphere of silence".
It is beautiful. I would like to ask you if it is possible to visit The Cistercian Sisters and if I would be allowed to spend with them shorter time? Is it possible also for people who come from another European countries? I am looking for this experience but I could come only for shorter time. Could you please advise me? Are there also another orders from England or Ireland who anable you to join them? Vicki

Oh wonderful, I have found this wonderful video again!
I found the Video very interesting to watch. In the 1970’s when I left University,I approached my
local priest with the intention of becoming a priest. It was not to be.I am now married with a
family.None of us know what journey we will follow in our lives. For every woman and man who
becomes a priest or nun, your life is already chosen from above.
You can sense the calm and soft joy from them.
You and all sisters are angels of the whole world.
may God bless them for their devotion to christ
Beautiful...thank you.
Enjoy your videos very much.. I feel sad watching this videos gaves me peace..
Just lovely.
Que bello testimonio, y que bellos los paisajes. Muy relajante y da mucho de que pensar 💚🙏
Misiricordina Si, estoy de acuerdo.
Dear Reverend Abbess. Would you please accept me into your Community?? Sister M. Heid
Would you be so kind in accepting me to come and join your beautiful Community? Sister M. Heid
Thank you Sisters! I truly thank you!...Robyn
The beauty of these sisters make me believe more in God.
I thank God for showing this to me not even knowing what it all about.
Providentially this is what I planned recently to look for ... again! Please pray that I will listen carefully to our Master’s instruction and attend to it with the ears of my heart!
St Benedict please guide & pray for me. Amen
Love what they said about the monastic community being a school of love.
such a beautiful place and such beautiful people x
What a life!! Pure , holy and uncontaminated life remain uncontaminated. God bless you all sisters.
Really God's time is the best thank you Jesus
Really interesting documentary 👍
It's sad that modern society does not fully comprehend the value of the contemplative life. I'm a Buddhust nun, but I think we have alot in common. Our order is also mostly older women, most describe because there is no support from the secular world or much infrastructure.
So happy to see y’all be committed to your habits!
Committed to Christ*
I love this....... 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜😇🙏🏼✝️📖🌸
They’re so lucky to live such a fulfilling life 😖😢
An honest and beautiful documentary to attract those with a heart and will to be one with God.
I wish I can vist this place love it may god bless you and pray for me
So far I have watched this video few times, it is interesting to see how they pray and work in their close knit community. Quiet and contemplating, and staying connected with God through their prayers and their work. May God bless them and their work 🙏✝️.
I agree with and appreciate you nuns.
Wonderful documentary :-) Wonderful women!!!
Dear Sisters, I will be writing you a letter in the next day or two, or over the next few days I should say. I hope you are still getting these texts messages after the years have past since this video came out..Anywho, I’m desperately needing your prayers but will explain in letter. I’m desperate to understand, to know more and to have God so closely surrounding my life in all ways. My struggles I think is a battle, a battle I will win for sure, it I need help! Again I will explain more. I’m 63 yrs old and have never wanted God in my life more..Thank you all, THANK YOU!
Praise God & much respect to you sisters for the life you live. The world needs more sisters like you so it will be a better place to exist
This is a big help for me as I plan to enter to thesame life.
Please pray for me sisters
So touched by this life
It is a blessing, to watch, share, feeling our One Heart.
I bow to that
🧎♀️🕯🕊🌹🙏
I hope i can visit this monastery one day....
What a lovely video beautiful countryside God bless you all
This is a truly beautiful documentation.
I stayed three yrs as aspirant great desire to be a nun!! but God has some other plan for me happily married now !!
Vicki
