Yonghoon the main vocalist (his vocals are insane) does actually play guitar and piano as well! They can all play multiple instruments, write, compose and produce their own work. He can but during performances he usually just focus on singing. But it's good that he can play a couple of instruments because he also writes a lot of songs for the band (his songs are beautiful)

The album they just released has all English versions of some of their previous recordings, including AuRoRa. But GRAVITY is a new song and the music is phenomenal. Yonghoon's anti-drop chorus is perfect and Kanghyun's guitar solo is amazing. Cya's rap is on point, Dongmyeong's vocals are wonderful & as always, Harin's drums performance reminds you of the old US rock & roll bands we grew up with. Currently, Yonghoon (leader, main vocalist) and Kanghyun (guitarist) are completing their required military service. This album was prepared b4 they left for the military so their fans would still get new material from them.

Onewe has become my favorite contemporary band. They write great songs both lyrically and musically, their singing is world class and they're terrific musicians. They all write songs and since they have different tastes and styles their discography is quite diverse, which I like too. Main singer Yonghoon is one of if not the best singer among the current generation of Korean boy groups and bands. Onewe has a number of emo power ballads where Yonghoon absolutely kills it. Examples include Universe, A Book in Memory, Parting, and their debut single Reminisce About All (2019). It's the title track from an all English album; the rest of the album consists of English versions of previously released songs. Imo if keyboardist Dongmyeong was in a kpop boy group he'd probably be the main singer but in Onewe he takes a back seat to Yonghoon. Yonghoon and guitarist Kanghyun are currently in the military and Dongmyeong showed just how good he is as a singer when the remaining members played a couple of shows as a trio in Dec. On his birthday last month he uploaded an excellent cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow for weve (Onewe's fandom) in flawless English. Dongmyeong often plays a keytar in performance. I won't ramble on about the other members but since you mentioned Dongmyeong's keyboard I'll give you some more gear info. Bassist & rapper Cya is seen in the MV with his Bacchus 5 string and he recently got a Nash p-bass. Kanghyun is seen with his purple Sterling (one of their John Petrucci Majesty models), and he also plays a white strat, an ES-335 and a Gibson J-45 acoustic. Hope you check out more Onewe. They're one of the best kept secrets in Korean music and it's cool that you found them.

You've gotta react to their new song "Gravity" and of course, "Montage_" is super good (Ugh the GUITAR!) ONEWE always has a different feeling with each song so it never gets boring. Regulus is just beautiful, and so is "A Book in Memory" (slightly softer songs than AuRoRa) Each of the members have at least one song they've composed, but the main three are Yonghoon (Vocalist, typically writes softer ballads: if it's got strings, it's probably him. I recommend "Gravity", "Star", or "A Book in Memory" from him), Kanghyun (Guitarist, his style's hard to explain but he wrote AuRoRa, recommend "Regulus", "Parting", "Rain to Be", and my personal queen "COSMOS"), and Cya (Bassist/Rapper, never really know what's going to come from Cya, just that's it's always great! I just listened to their whole discography this week after listening to their new single Gravity and so impressed with this group and so it brings me lots of joy that we're discovering their epicness at the same time. Some of my recommendations would be Gravity (SUPER fun, their newest release), Montage_ (absolutely killer guitar solo), and if you appreciate slower songs at all, their song Universe_ is incredibly touching with a guitar solo that really heightens the emotions, in my opinion.

ty for reacting so much! onewe are amazing, so talented, they produce their own stuff, like for example Aurora is their guitarist's song, ofc other members always help in creating, like arranging drums, writing some lyrics, rapper always comes up with his own rap parts, etc etc their main vocalist usually only sings but sometimes he plays guitar, both acoustic and electric, he also can play piano, they all can play multiple instruments to some extent, but ofc they are the best with their own assigned positions and what's crazy - they were brought together purely by luck, usually it's auditions that make a group out of trainees right, but onewe are self formed, and this amount of talent in a self formed band? damn now btw u have to react to their most recent release Gravity, it was dropped on Jan 28 it would be great also if u reacted to a guide too
Ah, thank you for checking them out! So glad you liked it! Definitely for songs on the bit harder side check out the Montage MV or non MV songs like Trauma or Eraser. (Harder rock isn't exactly super popular in Korea but I think the guys know there are metalheads in the fanbase and keep us fed 😊) The new song Gravity is a serious groove and the ballads will make you feel emotions you didn't know you had. I am so incredibly thankful for this reaction today! Today has been awful and the week isn’t looking to improve, so thank you. Onewe is my favorite band in kpop and one of my favorite groups in general. They are so talented and amazing to their fans, often doing free live concerts online (which you can look up), producing and writing their own music since the beginning, endless covers, multiple genres and all being epic level musicians. Kanghyun’s guitar solos kill me. Younghoon, the vocalist, DOES play guitar sometimes. Onewe JUST had a comeback last week with their first English album, the title track being Gravity. They have so many amazing songs. The one that got me into them was Parting (particularly the acoustic version), but I also adore Reminisce About All, Veronica, End of Spring, A Book in Memory (the strinnggsss), Regulus, Montage_, Universe, Still Here, Rain to Be. They also have a brother group called Oneus who are a group (not a band) that they have a couple songs with: The Last Song and Stay. Each of the groups contains a twin (Dongmyeong plays keyboard in Onewe and Xion is in Oneus) and the two groups are very intermeshed, doing a debut show together, producing and appearing on each other’s songs often, often vlogging together, etc. Oneus is currently touring and are a great group. I I recommend you check out Oneus: Same Scent, Come Back Home, Lit, Luna, No Diggity, A Song written Easily, To Be or Not to Be and Black Mirror. You should look into both Onewe and Oneus. You’ll like their stuff, especially the lives.

As many other commenters have said, they're insanely talented and also insanely underrated and unknown, so more exposure for these talented guys are always always welcome. Not to mention their music deserves to be heard and I genuinely think listening to ONEWE will make anyone's life better. This is definitely a great first song to listen to from them since , as you said from the start, it has everything. Strong vocals, catchy melody, great instrumentals, amazing production and it really shows off all the members skills really well. Aurora was specifically composed and written by the guitarist Kanghyun to show off the main vocalist Yonghoon's powerful yet steady vocals, while really considering the strengths and synergy of the group as a whole. It has composition and lyric contributions from the 3 mains writers in the group ( Kanghyun with contribution from CyA and Yonghoon), and so it represents the group in both sound but ability. Kanghyun is particularly known for thoughtful and poetic lyrics, with a unique soundscape to the composition to match, but he leaves space for the bassist, CyA's versatile rap and instrument work. While Yonghoon's vocals really stand out the most in this song, Dongmyeong hardly falls far behind, and the song benefits from the texture of his voice and his pristine harmonization. The productionn has a lot of backing sounds to it but it manages to frames Harin's drumming with his impeccable and ear-catching drum fills. And of course, Kanghyun with his mindblowing guitar solos that shows that he might just be one of the top electric guitarists in Korea right now. He's one of my favorite guitarists right now at least, just besides some Japanese metal guitarists. Their song TRAUMA has my favorite guitar work from him, but his solos in their emotional ballads Universe_, Star are, well, emotional and very moving. Their newest release Gravity is less emotional and more funk but just as great, along with some great bass work from CyA. Really hope that you continue to check out more of their music, maybe even if you can't react to them. Their stuff is just good.

I’ve only heard a few songs from Onewe, but I’ve liked everything that I’ve heard so far. I mostly know about them because they have a…for lack of a better word, brother band called Oneus, that I am a big fan of, that is a more traditional Kpop band that dances. One of the members of Onewe is the biological brother of one of the members of Oneus. But I feel like both bands are excellent and both a bit underrated. Oneus is performing at the We Bridge music festival in Las Vegas along with Enhypen, Dream Catcher, and Kang Daniel at the end of April so I’m hoping I’ll be able to go to that.
Onewe is a fav! Also check out Montage, Rain to be (the pool mv), Parting, Star, End of spring, Gravity, Reminisce about all, Universe, Logo, A book in memory, Still here. They also did an English album and they do acoustic covers of several of their songs - all gorgeous.

Great reaction to one of my favourite songs. They just released "Gravity" - please react to it.. it hasnt been reacted to much and actually has a extremely undeserved small amount of views. This band should be much bigger. They are on RBW (Rainbow Bridge World) label with Mamamoo and Oneus. Kim Do-Hoon is the CEO of RBW and produces much of Mamamoo . He and Jeon Da-woon also produce Onewe. Their production crews are members of "Masked Knights" and "Firebat". At some point, you may also want to look into songs by the bands Day6 and N.Flying 😁
Jeon Dawoon is the main RBW producer ONEWE work with, while the members themselves are the main writers and composers for almost all their songs, and either arranging alongside Jeon Dawoon or the main arrangers themselves too. RBW also acknowledges ONEWE as the band that directly carries out all musical work including producing. The CEO Kim Dohoon is listed alongside Jeon Dawoon at the back of their albums under "music produced and director" but, unlike Jeon Dawoon, Kim Dohoon doesn't contribute directly in any writing, composing or arranging capacity at all since End Of Spring (and only once in their career, for a b-side, before EOS too). KDH gave up while trying to write songs for them since EOS, admitting to the members that he found it too difficult to match ONEWE's own unique colour, and honestly EOS itself makes that very evident that he does not understand ONEWE's music well enough. While CEO Kim Dohoon directs releases, rejecting/approving songs and giving opinions during album evaluations, the credit should always go more to ONEWE members and Jeon Dawoon (and Cocodooboopapa) who actually make up ONEWE's sound and do all the hard work. AuRoRa is the guitarist Kanghyun's song, created while working with Yonghoon (main vocal), CyA (bassist/rapper), Jeon Dawoon and Cocodooboopapa. Btw, I only say this because your comment doesn't even mention ONEWE's involvement in making this song, or their own music at all, while reading as though KDH is as responsible for ONEWE's music as he is for Mamamoo's which is absolutely not the case. KDH is directly involved in making Mamamoo's songs, and usually the main writer and composer for Mamamoo title tracks (+ other songs), as well as their main producer. Yes he is still a producer but he does barely anything for ONEWE in comparison. I absolutely agree with the Gravity recommendation though, not quite as heavy as AuRoRa but definitely another masterpiece. Yonghoon is a genius ❤

onewe are amazing, so talented, they produce their own stuff, like for example Aurora is their guitarist's song, ofc other members always help in creating, like arranging drums, writing some lyrics, rapper always comes up with his own rap parts, etc etc
their main vocalist usually only sings but sometimes he plays guitar, both acoustic and electric, he also can play piano, they all can play multiple instruments to some extent, but ofc they are the best with their own assigned positions
and what's crazy - they were brought together purely by luck, usually it's auditions that make a group out of trainees right, but onewe are self formed, and this amount of talent in a self formed band? damn

Ah, thank you for checking them out! So glad you liked it! Definitely for songs on the bit harder side check out the Montage MV or non MV songs like Trauma or Eraser. (Harder rock isn't exactly super popular in Korea but I think the guys know there are metalheads in the fanbase and keep us fed 😊) The new song Gravity is a serious groove and the ballads will make you feel emotions you didn't know you had. They're a no miss band. And bonus, write all their own stuff 👍👍

I am so incredibly thankful for this reaction today! Today has been awful and the week isn’t looking to improve, so thank you. Onewe is my favorite band in kpop and one of my favorite groups in general. They are so talented and amazing to their fans, often doing free live concerts online (which you can look up), producing and writing their own music since the beginning, endless covers, multiple genres and all being epic level musicians. Kanghyun’s guitar solos kill me. Younghoon, the vocalist, DOES play guitar sometimes. Onewe JUST had a comeback last week with their first English album, the title track being Gravity. They have so many amazing songs. The one that got me into them was Parting (particularly the acoustic version), but I also adore Reminisce About All, Veronica, End of Spring, A Book in Memory (the strinnggsss), Regulus, Montage_, Universe, Still Here, Rain to Be. They also have a brother group called Oneus who are a group (not a band) that they have a couple songs with: The Last Song and Stay. Each of the groups contains a twin (Dongmyeong plays keyboard in Onewe and Xion is in Oneus) and the two groups are very intermeshed, doing a debut show together, producing and appearing on each other’s songs often, often vlogging together, etc. Oneus is currently touring and are a great group. I I recommend you check out Oneus: Same Scent, Come Back Home, Lit, Luna, No Diggity, A Song written Easily, To Be or Not to Be and Black Mirror. You should look into both Onewe and Oneus. You’ll like their stuff, especially the lives.

As many other commenters have said, they're insanely talented and also insanely underrated and unknown, so more exposure for these talented guys are always always welcome. Not to mention their music deserves to be heard and I genuinely think listening to ONEWE will make anyone's life better.
This is definitely a great first song to listen to from them since , as you said from the start, it has everything. Strong vocals, catchy melody, great instrumentals, amazing production and it really shows off all the members skills really well.
Aurora was specifically composed and written by the guitarist Kanghyun to show off the main vocalist Yonghoon's powerful yet steady vocals, while really considering the strengths and synergy of the group as a whole. It has composition and lyric contributions from the 3 mains writers in the group ( Kanghyun with contribution from CyA and Yonghoon), and so it represents the group in both sound but ability. Kanghyun is particularly known for thoughtful and poetic lyrics, with a unique soundscape to the composition to match, but he leaves space for the bassist, CyA's versatile rap and instrument work. While Yonghoon's vocals really stand out the most in this song, Dongmyeong hardly falls far behind, and the song benefits from the texture of his voice and his pristine harmonization. The productionn has a lot of backing sounds to it but it manages to frames Harin's drumming with his impeccable and ear-catching drum fills. And of course, Kanghyun with his mindblowing guitar solos that shows that he might just be one of the top electric guitarists in Korea right now. He's one of my favorite guitarists right now at least, just besides some Japanese metal guitarists.
Their song TRAUMA has my favorite guitar work from him, but his solos in their emotional ballads Universe_, Star are, well, emotional and very moving. Their newest release Gravity is less emotional and more funk but just as great, along with some great bass work from CyA.
Really hope that you continue to check out more of their music, maybe even if you can't react to them. Their stuff is just good.

I’ve only heard a few songs from Onewe, but I’ve liked everything that I’ve heard so far. I mostly know about them because they have a…for lack of a better word, brother band called Oneus, that I am a big fan of, that is a more traditional Kpop band that dances. One of the members of Onewe is the biological brother of one of the members of Oneus. But I feel like both bands are excellent and both a bit underrated. Oneus is performing at the We Bridge music festival in Las Vegas along with Enhypen, Dream Catcher, and Kang Daniel at the end of April so I’m hoping I’ll be able to go to that.

Great reaction to one of my favourite songs. They just released "Gravity" - please react to it.. it hasnt been reacted to much and actually has a extremely undeserved small amount of views. This band should be much bigger.
They are on RBW (Rainbow Bridge World) label with Mamamoo and Oneus. Kim Do-Hoon is the CEO of RBW and produces much of Mamamoo . He and Jeon Da-woon also produce Onewe. Their production crews are members of "Masked Knights" and "Firebat".
At some point, you may also want to look into songs by the bands Day6 and N.Flying 😁
Jeon Dawoon is the main RBW producer ONEWE work with, while the members themselves are the main writers and composers for almost all their songs, and either arranging alongside Jeon Dawoon or the main arrangers themselves too. RBW also acknowledges ONEWE as the band that directly carries out all musical work including producing.
The CEO Kim Dohoon is listed alongside Jeon Dawoon at the back of their albums under "music produced and director" but, unlike Jeon Dawoon, Kim Dohoon doesn't contribute directly in any writing, composing or arranging capacity at all since End Of Spring (and only once in their career, for a b-side, before EOS too). KDH gave up while trying to write songs for them since EOS, admitting to the members that he found it too difficult to match ONEWE's own unique colour, and honestly EOS itself makes that very evident that he does not understand ONEWE's music well enough.
While CEO Kim Dohoon directs releases, rejecting/approving songs and giving opinions during album evaluations, the credit should always go more to ONEWE members and Jeon Dawoon (and Cocodooboopapa) who actually make up ONEWE's sound and do all the hard work. AuRoRa is the guitarist Kanghyun's song, created while working with Yonghoon (main vocal), CyA (bassist/rapper), Jeon Dawoon and Cocodooboopapa.
Btw, I only say this because your comment doesn't even mention ONEWE's involvement in making this song, or their own music at all, while reading as though KDH is as responsible for ONEWE's music as he is for Mamamoo's which is absolutely not the case. KDH is directly involved in making Mamamoo's songs, and usually the main writer and composer for Mamamoo title tracks (+ other songs), as well as their main producer. Yes he is still a producer but he does barely anything for ONEWE in comparison.
I absolutely agree with the Gravity recommendation though, not quite as heavy as AuRoRa but definitely another masterpiece. Yonghoon is a genius ❤
