- A joint rally was organized by St. Theresa's arts and science college for women - NSS, YRC, Eco Club, and LEO Club, in association with Mother Theresa NGO and Welspun Enterprise, to promote road safety awareness as part of the Road Safety Awareness Week.
The rally, which commenced at Tharangambadi Beach and concluded at St. Theresa's arts and science college for women. 160 students, who enthusiastically raised slogans and created awareness among the public about the importance of road safety.
The rally was flagged off by Rev. Sr. Karuna Josephet, Secretary, St. Theresa's arts and science college for women, and Maj. Dr. V. Kamarasan, Principal, who emphasized the need for responsible behavior on roads and the importance of adhering to traffic rules.
The students, who participated in the rally, displayed placards and banners with thought-provoking messages, highlighting the dangers of reckless driving, the importance of wearing helmets, and the need to follow traffic signals.
The rally was a huge success, with the students successfully conveying the message of road safety to the public. The event reinforced the college's commitment to promoting social awareness and responsible citizenship among its students.
