I kinda agree that Filipinos are one of the most talented singers in Asia (not whole world). But the lack of training and appreciation from Filipino producers just make things worse for Philippine music. Blacks can go toe to toe against Filipinos. Nowadays, other SEA countries and EA countries make better music than PH. We're clearly being left behind not because we lost the talent but because we prioritize those who can't really sing, even veteran singers say that.

no comparison here, at 16 Charice became one of the best live singers on the planet and got noticed for her wide range and powerful voice, she was compared to whitney, celine, mariah, beyonce and can sing any song including opera( mezzo soprano ). So Hyang voice sounds thin w/ a weird accent bcoz she's using the dolphin technique to keep up w/ charice...
one thing i like with charice is that she adjusts with whoever she sings with.. she blends very well and never overpower the other even there's no doubt that she can.. it always results to a very outstanding performance..

Charice is a beast... she won this battle, but I guess this was So Hyang's inflection point, she figured out she needed to work on her vocals and focus on her strength, which is probably her range. So Hyang is a much better singer today, and I miss Charice....
I have just started listening to this young lady,who is absolutely awesome.Even though she decided to become who she is today,i am a very big fan,i have seen all four "Star King",shows of her,and in my fifty years have i ever heard such vocals.This young lady has a long career indeed and thank you "Star King",for and company also on show for sharing.
The music they do together is beautiful, such harmony. There is no discord there, they both cannot be compared, the texture and quality of their voices are so different and yet when they sing together, it is immaculate. I love it.

Charice has a powerful voice no doubt but i love this performance w/ sohyang and specially "a whole new world " w/ kyuhyun and "i will always love you" w/ Park Jung Hyun. They were done impromptu and were able to produce great harmonies. I'm sure the Korean idols didn't try to compete with her but just enjoyed singing with her. I'm just thankful to the Koreans who received her with warmth and were genuinely awed by her performances, not to take anything away from the Korean idols , they have great voices as well, for these songs to come out as they did , unrehearsed, were able to produce great music together.
