Lots of extra signs and traffic signals. School zones and school busses making stops are needed. It needs some railroad tracks to learn not to stop or get trapped on them. Cybercab's small size really comes out in your video.
It would be great if you can catch the start or the ending of a CyberCab trip, to see if there is anyone inside the CyberCab and also how many technicians are in the black following Model 3. Also, any manoeuvring, like going in reverse, as I show it in a video where the wheel covers were removed.
So are they first going to use autonomous cyber cabs to shuffle drivers back and forth from the factory to the outbound lot. Or are they going to have the cars coming out of the factory drive themselves to the outbound lot ?
I think the goal is to have each ca drive itself so there wouldn't be a need for drivers at all, but perhaps as an interim step, they might do that as they transition from how things are now to a fully autonomous process end state. I'm curious to see myself!
It looks like there is more then testing going on here. Tesla could be planning to replace the parking lot shuttles with many cybercabs. That could be a very nice first payback for the robot car!
Tesla hopes to have them running in California and Texas by end of 2025. Volume production of Cybercab expected in 2026. State / Federal regulations will be the deciding factor in where they start as well as how much data FSD has for an area. Elon is sometimes a bit optimistic, but has a great track record of getting it done.
Alas, CyberCab testing is a big success - no dangerous or confused incidents to show/report. It is as boring as watching a boring machine underground wben viewed from the surface above. We can say it is better than the Waymo ride which can't go on holidays/highways.
Thanks Joe. Is it possible Tesla is not just testing, but mapping out Cyber Cab rides around Giga-Texas for emplyees with those "desiganated stops" for employees and guest? The larger People Mover could replace all the busses from parking to various parts of the factory.
Interesting how the Cybercab is stopping at some of the white tents. Almost like the Cybercab is dropping off and picking up passengers. Makes you wonder Looks like they will be setting up a very small pilot shuttle service for employees around the Gigafactory? Otherwise why the tents?
To think this car is driving itself and seeing how beautifully it maneuvers is amazing.!!! I can't wait....Makes me love my many Tesla cars and Trucks even more.😍😍😍
Seems quite nippy. Can wait to see Model S Plaid racing using FSD. Might set new records on multiple tracks - possible pikes peak and maybe Laguna and nurgering
At 4:20 (nice) you can could roughly 21 with around 17 or so being square. Would make for a brilliant charge location as both taxis would sit between a few seconds to a few minutes for passengers to enter and exit! Can you go back and see if electrical was installed under these pads ? :-) please and thank you Joe
I see great potential in Elon Musk's projects, I believe in his engineering genius, in particular, I admire the FSD 13.2 autonomous driving system, which will bury Waymo as soon as it goes into mass production. Although I do not express explicit support for Elon Musk, I have always been on his side and hope that in the future we will join forces and create something that will revolutionize and lift humanity to unprecedented heights. Hopefully Mark Zuckerberg will join us soon to integrate his tech giant into our great project of the future. Sincerely, Jeff Bezos. Appreciate and respect Ilona - this is a gift from God for humanity.
I do not understand testing at GigaTexas. That is a walk in the park. Texas allows driverless vehicles. Take these out to Austin, Houston, or Dallas, and let them learn in the real world with an observer vehicle following. Give it the ability to intervene and override the Robotaxi.
Early next year Elon will sponser the histoical first Nascar Autonomous EV 500 race at Talladega. We can also see 500 Optimized Optimuses in their own seating section clapping, dancing and drinking beer while chowing down on hotdogs and cheese fries. Talk about a huuuuge Tesla event. 🤔🧐💯☑️
Love the CyberCab coverage- thanks Joe!
You're welcome!
CyberCab has a lead foot! Just loved the opening footage with the chase car taking a rather adventurous CyberTruck pass to keep up with the CyberCab.
Great! Now we got autonomous Teslas out getting ready to start collecting road rage and reckless driving citations. 😅
That fork in the road is some funny stuff.
amazing to see these actually driving around the site! thx!
Thanks Joe!
Video fantástico, from Spain
iconic images and great flying. thank you Joe.

All those extra signs and stuff will come from the Teslas on the road currently.
The baby steps of one of the most pivotal vehicles in automotive history. Thanks, Joe.
Joe, New crane may be for putting up new sign on the 8 footers
Very cool video!!
Really cool music!
Thank you for sharing your work!
The confidence with which it moves is jawdroppingly awesome!
Enjoyed video. Really enjoyed your choice of music.
Can't wait to see cybervans delivering people around the facilities and parking lots. Thanks Joe!
Me too! Have a great weekend!

Nice rock music in your video Joe. I think that might be you playing electric guitar in your band, Tegtmeyer and the Drones.

I am reminded of the expression “eat your own fog food”. If autonomous driving is real, cars will drive themselves to their destination driverless.
Good job once again Air Force!
Thanks for the video. Do you know when they will test the cybercab on the city streets?

I may be mistaken, but at least two of the slightly larger black Tesla vehicles charging near the center of the frame at 8:25 appear to be new models.

The music.👍

Id like to see Cybercab do convoy testing as a rollout for semi truck future capability.
people should have bought one T$LA share after watching one Tesla related video from Joe. Now, Cybercab video is another heads up-so, buy T$LA.
I hope Tesla is eventually able to autonomously deliver their vehicles to customers.
Merci👍👍👍

Neither Shazam nor SoundHound could identify the music. Please don't tell me that Joe is also a composer and musician!
Put the drone on follow mode Joe. Get right over the cockpit a few feet. Elon would love it. 😅

Joe are there any signals to test the cybercab?
I notice that the chase car stops at stop signs and also indicates diligently. I wonder if it too is using FSD.
the great cyber chase part #1?
Not ready to open the wing doors yet?
Joe, during your CyberCab chasing, did you get any clue as to where they are based at Austin and/or where they are charged?
Joe, looks like they have had a dusting of snow?
No
Interesting.
Does the cybercab have Giga Texas's Christmas decorations in the back compartment? The Grinch is driving away with them!!
Joe, at the 6:00 minute mark. Those concrete pads!!! Any chance those are inductive charging pads for Robotaxi and Robovan? My money is on yes ;-)

able to reverse a trailer there be no limits to what specialized versions can do - a dually could do warehouse on wheels jobs
Joe Tegtmeyer é legal seu canal e vídeo cora❤❤❤❤uma boa noite de sábado dia 14 de dezembro de 2024 horas 18:41 🕓.

Y'know if Robotaxi was any good at autonomous driving it wouldn't need to drive all day around Giga Tesla trying to find the freeway on ramp.😊
🤗THANKS JOE 🥶💚💚💚
Tailing the CyberCab lol
