1995 was the best ESC year, with too many incredible songs - my favorite of all time was Cyprus - Sti Fotia (what a masterpiece - I was in love with that song), Spain was incredible, Norway - the winner - was magic .. and our Darja ... all these songs still give me goosebumps.
This was the best year and after this contest, I stopped following Eurovision because I knew that something like this could never happen again. Only Loreen many years after proved me wrong with Euphoria and I'd be happy if more musicians would.
I'm glad to see more people appreciate this masterpiece. Time passes by but every time I listen to it, I'm still amazed, like if it were the first time
For me this was the winner. I think if there was a public voting at that time, this song and her voice would have won. It’s just perfect! ❤❤❤

1995 was the strongest year with the most incredible songs ever heard at the ESC. If she competed in any other year, she might have even won, but it was really hard to compete with Spain, Norway, Cyprus, and other incredible entries that year. I was listening to the VHS tape of this Eurovision for years and it was really something special. Darja was incredible and is still my favorite Slovenian entry at the ESC, although I love this year's Veronika of Raiven too. Best year
The RTE orchestra was on fire that night, especially with the Spanish and Slovenian entries.
FR, I loved those songs from the first time, and the wonderful orchestra did a very great job with the two ones.
Kinda interesting that the best years of RTE were also our best entries, now its plagued by corruption so many important positions for quality sound and filming are neglected to overpay big names

Words are not enough to describe the love I feel for this song. I love the sweet melody, the endearing aura, the singer's voice... Everything fits perfectly. Undoubtedly, Darja is one of the best artists to ever step on the Eurovision stage.
For me, this will always be the rightful winner of Eurovision 1995. It's also my favourite Slovenian entry to this day, and one of my 5 favourite Eurovision songs ever!
All slovenians should be really proud of this beautiful contribution to the contest. It saddens me that it didn't even make the top 5. Hopefully, Slovenia will start to get the justice it deserves in the near future.

Just when you thought the 90s eurovision couldn't impress you any further BOOM SLOVENIA 1995
Yugoslavia produced powerful entries in the Golden Years. These were 1965, 1966 (Brez Besed), 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1989. Berta Ambroz's Ballad remains a favourite even today❤.
This was one of the few songs that should have been winner. The other songs were Crostia, Spain, Ireland and Israel. The Norwegian winner is now forgotten, but these songs remain dear to our hearts.❤

This is the best Slovene entry in Eurovision history. What a beautiful melody, what a voice. And the orchestra did a great job too.
I had the privilege to get to know Darja in Vienna. A very likeable lady. Moreover, she speaks perfect German. Definitely one of the Slovene stars.
In 1995, some other countries sent their best entries ever, too. For example Sweden, Spain and Croatia.

Eurovision 1995 (like 1991) had a lot of great songs and performances! This one is gorgeous, just like Spain, Denmark and of course winning Norway that year. Love it!
Such a wonderful entry! One of my favorites for 1995. If she had gotten just one more douze point, she would have reached top 5. I'm not sure if she would have won if it was in English. It was a pretty strong year and Norway pretty much nailed it. I'm just surprised Croatia only gave Slovenia 2 points. It is absolutely one of the best Slovene entries.

I first found Eurovision in 2006 and I started to look back at past contests and this song was one of the first entries I loved from the first play, just simple, beautiful and truly an amazing entry and only the 2nd song that Slovenia has sent to Eurovision.
This is the best vocal and song.

It is a very pretty song that has something to it that makes me think about fairytales, but Poland was even better and definitely more unique that year.

This entry was favourite at the bettings that year. But couldn't succeed getting a degree even in top five.
I'm usually modest, and I rarely think that Slovenia deserves a better ranking, but that Darja was only 7th with this song? Unfair considering who won that year. Not that the Norwegian wining song is bad, but I don't know in which part it is better than the Slovenian one? Certainly not in singing :)

Hated the winner that year! One of the most overrated "songs" in Eurovision history. My top three for 1995: Spain; Denmark; and Slovenia, in that order. This is a ballad for people who hate ballads. Wonderful song and performance!

The lyrics are very poetic, full of figurative expressions, so the literal translation makes no sense. But basically she is singing to her lover about her love for him and their future together.
