When you think about it, to survive day after day after week of living in a tour bus with a bunch of people, you either become family quickly or you disintegrate. Yes, HF was created over 20 years ago, but most of the guys weren't in the group until about 2011, and Chance was even later. But they are family. The line in "On the Road Again" about "We're the best of friends" really is right. And that is part of why they are such a great group, too. Why their live shows are so much fun. 5 guys you'd like to go hang out with.

The warrior woman fighting Austin is his lovely lady Amberly and if you look behind and to the right of Tim when he goes down you'll see her whacking the shite out of him. I bet she had fun. This was filmed in a park in Nashville in high 90s-triple degree weather. I'm thinking the other people were regular LARPers in the area, but haven't heard one way or another. Chance's Mandalorian helmet is his own; he is a huge Star Wars fan. Parts of Adam's outfit he got from his own closet, and you just know the D&D Dungeon Master just has to play the mage.. Tim is playing a double character. He's Hiccup riding his dragon Toothless, from the animated movie How to Train Your Dragon. I don't know if you've done it, but they have an older Chris era video for their original Good Ol' Country Harmony that features what it would have been like if they'd grown up together and formed the band as kids. It is adorable. There's a prank video out there where someone went to Myfanpark and Cameo and so on -- whatever services each guy uses -- and ordered shout-outs from each of the guys for one of the other guys, then also requested videos of them reacting to their shout-out, and put them all together. The number of times these guys call each other brother and say they love each other in that video is amazing. It's just all kinds of wholesome.

Wasn’t this great?!! I loved the song…singing about brotherhood while being warriors. I understand they did this on a very hot day in Nashville. No wonder Austin lost his ears for a bit! Loved all the characters. Tim on a dragon cracked me up. Loved him kissing Rob’s boo boo. Hahaha. Chance using the duct tape to put himself back together and Adam reading about magic….perfect. Adam is a huge Dungeons & Dragons fan so he was a wizard. Chance loves Star Wars so being the Mandolorian was perfect. Loved this one!!!😍

Great song & message about "brotherhood" & looking out for each other. The guys looked like they had a lot of fun doing this video. This was my first introduction to "larping".
Going from one end of the country to another in a bus for years on end will tend either to have a band in endless feuds and screaming arguments or unshakable friendship. Home Free managed the second, whether by luck or carefulness, it's hard to say. When asked if they were like brothers,, Adam said no, he had brothers and this was different - just friends. Four of them have been together for 11 years and the whole present line up for 7. Apparently there was a period where everyone lost interest in what they were doing and management had to intervene to stop the band disintegrating, but I don't think they have ever stopped being friends. Their sense of humour is much the same, with an added dash of zaniness from Adam Chance, who btw just kills the opening section, as he channels every battle-weary commander rallying his troops.
I think maybe having things outside of Home Free helps with that. Chance, Tim, and Austin go solo, with and without instrument accompaniment. Tim performs with Chris Rupp, Peter Hollens, and the Bass Gang. Chance does videos with The Hound + The Fox. Rob has his podcast with Beugs. Adam has his D&D circle. Then there Tim and Austin in Sweet + Low Music Co. So they aren't stuck with just the five of them all the time.
This song is beautiful both musically and lyrically. The video had everything. Funny parts, epic hero parts, sweet, caring parts. Most of us Home Fries have watched this dozens and dozens of times because the video is so engaging and fabulously done we like to catch all the nuances of the music and video. This one of my top five Home Free performances.

They filmed it near/in Nashville during a heat wave. It was in the high 90s and they were worn out and drenched with sweat by the time they finished. Loved the harmony. Reminded me of the group Alabama. Since discovering Dimash, I just haven't wanted to listen to any other singer(s). You are slowly bringing me back into the world of other singers. I got a kick out of your enjoyment of the game. And there were times when I was nodding my head to your remarks.
If you haven't, check out Old Ol' Country Harmony, written by Tim (I think). It's sort of the origin story of Home Free if they'd all happened to meet in school. It's a lovely song and a fun video. The young men who played each of the band members (Chris was still part of the group at that point) did an awesome job capturing the essence of each HF member. Jeremy noooo!!!! You looked away at all the best moments! For example when they started running you missed Tim's dragon and at the end you missed Tim kissing the plastered finger. Small things that just had me laughing my head off. I hope you watched it again.

this was an example of L.A.R.P. (Live Action Role Play) and is the ultimate in nerdom. Obviously, this was Adam's choice. The filmed this in Nashville whenit was in the 90's so they were all dying in those costumes. Side note, Amberly was the one that killed Rob and Austin. Told you she was goofy.

I watched the video of NEEDTOBREATHE w/Gavin DeGrew. It had a more reverent tone. You should check it out. But this version is what Home Free does best. It’s true to the music, but why not laugh too! Jeremy noooo!!!! You looked away at all the best moments! For example when they started running you missed Tim's dragon and at the end you missed Tim kissing the plastered finger. Small things that just had me laughing my head off. I hope you watched it again.
I can assure you I saw them. There was a lot to say in this video. Lol. I love how he kissed his finger. I almost missed that one. And I caught the dragon as well…and how it got killed. Lol. I def saw more than it seems. 🤣

@@charleneclaassen that’s true…but keep in mind how hard it is to pick up on everything the first time, while hosting also engaging with people. We’re definitely going to miss some things. But it sure is fun to do though!
this was an example of L.A.R.P. (Live Action Role Play) and is the ultimate in nerdom. Obviously, this was Adam's choice. The filmed this in Nashville whenit was in the 90's so they were all dying in those costumes. Side note, Amberly was the one that killed Rob and Austin. Told you she was goofy.

Unpopular opinion- I really didn’t like the concept for this video. Love the song though.
