Shri. Savjibhai Dholakia, Founder and Chairman of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., the world's leading diamond business, visited IITGN on October 17, 2023. He interacted with IITGN students and community members and talk about his "Story of becoming a Socially Impactful Billionaire".
He hails from Village Dudhala, Amreli District, Gujarat. At the age of 12, he migrated to Surat in search of a job; later, in 1984, he started his venture in the diamond business. Savjibhai was conferred "Padma Shri" in 2022 for his exemplary philanthropic work.
