The pain which Imam Ali a.S went through is something no one will ever imagine. Having all of that glory in his life, until the prophets death, he saw his rightful leadership get stolen from him. He saw his beloved wife killed in front of him. Then after that the people wanted him to be the leader p, and when he became leader he faced oppression like never once a leader has seen before. His own people turning on him at war. Refusing to go to war anymore, he saw one of his best friends turn on him to fight him at war. Then in a few wars another one of his best friends had died in war. He knew the women of his city were being raped, he knew the innocent villagers of the city were being massacred. Yet he could not do anything about it. After that, in his morning fajr prayer. Ibn muljim, through muawiyyah, used a poison soaked sword to cut the head of Imam Ali a.s in sujood. He did everything to please Allah swt. His struggles were continuous and endless. Wallahi there is no one who has ever lived to have the perseverance and courage of Imam Ali a.s. How can one not help but cry for the beloved imam.
A light from God went out when Amir Al Mu'mineen was taken away from us, may Allah curse the first 3, Muawiya, Yazeed, Donkey Marwan, and anyone who fought the Imam. May Allah make sure that none of us are like Zubair, may Allah help make our hearts strong like Abbas and Mukhtar al Thaqafi.
