FOR THOSE ASKING ABOUT THE MEANING: SONG: An Igbo Catholic Eucharistic consecration song . CHORUS : We ask you to accept our sacrifice. Good God (please) receive it. Take it, bless it and make it, (dear) father, good (perfect) and worthy of your acceptance. Verse: 1) When we offer you this sacrifice of your kindness which is (from) the fruit of the land, it's not (really) a reward for your love because we lack what it takes (the capacity). 2) Whenever we, your children, gather before you to offer this Most Holy Sacrifice, we are offering it on behalf of all humanity; both the living and the dead. 3) You alone are the life of those who believe in you, the life of all things both on earth and in heaven. May you show us the best way to express our joy in you.
4) The saints, with songs of joy, praise your goodness/kindness and your might. May you grant us the privilege of joining them to praise you always by our sacrifice. 5)Bless us, bless us, bless Oh our God, the people that are making a sacrifice to you. Accept us, accept us, accept Oh our God, the sacrifice of ourselves.
remember this song from visiting Catholic Churches for family events on my mum's side of the family. It brings back fun childhood memories 😢 and from time to time, I remember it and sing the parts that I know. Today, Sunday, the 27th day of October in the year of the Lord 2024, I decided to search for it on TH-cam, and I found it! I'm learning the Verses now, and I'm glad to know that it was composed by an individual, a Reverend Father. We need to do better with documenting our arts/creations/ intellectual property for better preservation and dissemination. I think He should rerecord it if he's still alive and we need more masterpieces like this. I also love when it's performed with traditional African instruments. I'm not Catholic BTW I'm Anglican, and I think hyms/songs like this should cut across our titles, labels, and denominations. This is by far the best version I've heard
I always listen to this song everyday it has a wonderful meaning. God bless you Obieli Udoka,God will continue to bless strengthen you in every step you make in Jesus name. Amen. I am proud to say I am a catholic
Listen to this song in 0.75x speed and thank me later. I feel like that’s the best speed that the song should be rendered. Kudos to the choir and entire team ❤️👏🏾

Back in the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, we used to sing this song at the Ceslestial Chorus Choir of the Saints Paul and Peter Catholic University Chaplaincy, Buea. The song is soul-touching, soul-searching. It uplifts the spirit and sooths the mind. God's abundant blessings upon the composer for offering such a wonderful gift to humanity!
Thank you Rev Fr Prof. Marcel Onyeocha. One-time Rector of my Alma Mater and my lecturer from Year 1 to Final Year. I will never forget you wherever I am.

@@mikky4712 that's personal. There's only one God and no other, but ways in which people are worshipping this God is different. That's why I said I'm not comfortable with the Catholic ways of worship, but sincerely no criticism involved.
When Christ Jesus walked the streets of Jerusalem, Galilee, etc. His doctrines, parables, healings, miracles, etc. kept many listeners and followers 'uncomfortable'. So please pray to Mary, who is full of grace to obtain for you from God, the grace of enlightenment and perseverance in the search for Truth, Jesus.

I have so much passion for catholic songs, though I'm not comfortable with their doctrine.
How about you tell us the doctrines you are uncomfortable with, so that we can clear the air for you.
