A mistake I made trying to get a good setup on my Lyrik was using a shock wiz. It kept wanting me to drop pressure and add tokens. This made the fork feel like shite. There was no support from the air spring so it always sat so deep in the travel and was just harsh because of the ramp up. Im now running no tokens and more PSI and the fork feels amazing, so much more supple but still plenty of ramp at the end.
I thought I was going crazy with my Lyrik C1 180 1 token setup while I was watching your past videos with 3-4 tokens. 😄 Cheers on the sweet C1 setup mate. I can't wait to see you send the Boneshaker 🤘
So I'm glad I didn't go crazy with everything. Lyrik select plus 160mm I started with two tokens. I took them out and now they are at 84psi for 90kg, HSC 3 and rebound 8 from open! I think I need to increase the pressure to somewhere around 90psi rebound down to somewhere around 4/6 from open and the HSC might stay that way for now. but yes, the lyric works best without tokens but took me quite a headache the bike looks beastly!
glad to hear you have found a great set up. Nice to have a new bike!! Im still running my slash 8 2019 with the yari upgraded with RC2 and C1, currently running 2x tokens as I had some bottom outs on larger drops . Now wondering if I should try no tokens again and up the air?? Also the rear is Super Deluxe w Megneg and 2x tokens (no neg bands in). I had a small air leak until last recent service, now wondering to remove a token or two and up the pressure a bit as wondering if I am loosing some initial compliance with 34%% sag - any thoughts? thanks.
I have a Fox 38 170mm with the basic sweep damper and low speed rebound. I'm 75kg rider weight, fork set at 34mm sag, 4 clicks from open rebound and 4 clicks from open low speed compression. Feels like I'm getting a touch more feedback on the chatter than I'd like, but as you can see I'm running all I have fairly open and fast. Any recommendations would be awesome! 🤘 Love your videos, such good indepth explanation! Sounds like the new bike is going well! BTW I'm running the 38 on a Commencal Meta AM essential if that helps. Thanks for any advice, cheers! 🤘
@@jamiehamilton3253 I’d start by adding 10 psi and adjust your rebound to suit. At 1 token 170mm I’d run 105-110 for me. 95 should give you a good taste.
I still prefer the B1, it has a calmer demeaner when set up stiff to charge. More grip on loose stuff when things get wild. But the C1 is going ok for now, I’ll assess it once I’ve ridden a heap of trails with it
Out of curiosty, do you tune for the Public at all... Iv`e got 2019 Focus Jam thats just had the Rockshox Pike fork upgraded to the latest dampner...I wouldn`t mind someone with the expirience to help me get it sorted..
@@mtbtelly5522 found it, cheers mate. I’ve got a 29er and the performance elite fork over the rhythm. Does that make much difference to the setup? I’m about 84kg too, how much pressure would you add to your setup for my weight. Thanks mate
Good to see your starting to find happiness in the fork. 😊

Yep the shockwiz is not very reliable, and very time demanding

Ha, just commented on the last vid about how I started with no tokens and 100psi on my first run, thought it was good. More testing to be done though.

Any thoughts on new zeb with charger 3 vs Fox 38? Any preference?

How many tokens, and what pressure?
@@mtbtelly5522 oh sorry! I'm running 1 token and 84psi cheers!

So you prefer the c1 over b1 now? Trying to get mine dialed in at the min with the b1 in but also have a c1.

Would you recommend a Norco sight for a trail rider of 1.5 years?
Yeah the 2020 onwards Sight is killer with a good setup
Quite descending oriented, so it won’t be super fast on flat rides, but well and truly confident for any descents
@@mtbtelly5522 have you tuned a Sight with the fox 36 and X2 shock or only the rockshox setup?
@@nickmcgraw2004 yep I did one not long ago, its up on the chanel
