In my opinion after a year it isn’t enough because Apple pushes out the updates for the phone every darn 6 months to a year including every month to keep it updated so is it enough?? Yes and no. All depends I have the same phone and color

Try google storage for ur pictures since u get 100 Gb free and get 99 cents of cloud storage if u need extra and delete ur backups especially if ur connected to wifi you’ll get all ur space back
Even I got an iPhone 7 128gb this April replaced its battery once was perfectly working for around 2 months when it's camera broked not physically but the lens got corrupted so I had to sell it and now I'm back on my old xiomi redmi note 7 pro 😥
